Yup, Back in the mid 80's I got my first boat trailer inspected the year after buying it. Never had it done again unless I was buying a new one. Never got a ticket. But I don't think I was ever pulled over while towing. I had a flat trailer tire towing the boat on the Lake Ontario State Parkway once. NYSP pulled over behind me and kept his lights on for me when I was changing it. Was interested in the boat and asked to see the registration while he was there. Never asked about the inspection.

I did not know that! I thought they'd be handled just like an ATV.

Just saw a post from a friend on FB whose company subbed out this job to the driver of the truck. They're thinking over $200k. Multiple insurance companies involved.

Our cat stole one of my turkey legs once shortly after I disconnected them. I didn't know it until I saw it on the garage floor an hour or so later. At least I assumed it was the cat. But that is odd that no one close to you hunts and it's not one of yours.

That would be great, but it's not the distance, it's getting up at 4:00 the next morning. These days I'm in bed before 9:00 on a work night. Can't take a vac day as I have an audit starting that Monday. If it were Saturday night, I'd go for sure!

I like the various firemen's carnivals. We went to the Hammondsport carnival a couple of weeks ago. They actually let you walk around with a beer instead of sequestering you away in a dank tent in the corner.

We've got a pair of kayaks, a canoe, and recently bought a 12 ft aluminum V. I have to say for a small boat, the aluminum is my choice for stability and a little elbow room. I think you're going to settle in on the canoe as a second choice for stability, but your first choice for one man portability.

I'd like to make this one, but it's a work night for me. I'm hoping for a last minute change of heart.

Agreed, and neither do I, but that's what NYSRPA stated as the reason for pulling back their effort. I believe the NRA considers NY a lost cause (and I don't blame them) but it's just damn disappointing that our own state organization just ceased trying. There's no longer any reason for the Dems to not pull another middle of the night stripping of our next gun right.

And where is NYSRPA on fighting the SAFE Act? No help for NY'ers. I purposely let my membership lapse when they pulled the lawsuit (which was on it's way to SCOTUS), and sent the money to the NRA instead. I get it, they pulled when Scalia passed away to not risk losing, but Gorsuch is in now and it's been crickets from NYSRPA since they pulled it. Naked, but I think we did the battered once. It's been all store bought frozen fish so far. Some were semi-prepared. Surprising how moist something can be that's cooked in hot air.
