I'm worried about voter apathy. If the economy hums along for 4 years, immigration get "fixed", people get comfy and start to be more concerned with PC than results. The dems run a likable candidate (unlike HRC), and then it only takes a few states to tip it. Then it's right back into the abyss.

That's my fear. That he torpedoes himself for 2020.

I saw quite a few deer in the fields during the first hour of daylight while on the way to work this morning. Made me think of Spring.

Not necessarily a goal per say, but I'll be trying to find the patience to shoot a bigger class buck than I've been getting so far in my hunting career. I've got several mounts in my living room that are in the 2.5 to 3.5 age range (3 of those aged by the DEC), but I've yet to drop a true trophy which to me would be a 130 or better. A couple of years ago I passed 7 bucks on opening day of rifle with the largest being maybe 120. I was holding out for the big guy that I had on camera (attached). My neighbor shot it at 8:00 am that morning - scored 141. Happy for him BTW! Other neighbors shot all of the rest that I passed. I took one doe that year. This past year I shot a 3.5 year old. The taxi guessed it at 100 to 110. Trigger finger got itchy, and I didn't want to see him drop on the next property. There was a stud cruising around that I had on camera, but by taking the buck that I did, I took myself out of the game on that one. To my knowledge no one took him. So if that guy makes it til next year, I really want to find the will to hold off for him or another nice one. How to you trophy takers do it? I hated passing the 2.5-3.5 year olds just to find out they all met their demise anyway. And then not taking a buck at all. For the two pics attached, the B/W one is the one I should have held out for this year, and the daytime pic is the buck that I held out for the prior year but was dropped by my neighbor. Both of these are exceptional for my area and they pretty much go nocturnal after the first couple of days. That doesn't help my opening day itchy trigger finger.

It's like football. It's 2018, but not yet the 2018 season.

Tell that to 30 other teams. 94% don't make it there. Out of the two that make it, 50% of them win. I'm not celebrating four losses in a row, but it's a pretty big freaking deal just to make it!

That would be my tactic.

Admittedly, this isn't a good record to own and he is tied with 4 others. How many did your guy Flutie throw in the big game? I have to say I did like Flutie, but after a season (or less), opposing defenses had game planned him pretty well. Like most scrambling QB's.

Yeah, OK. ESPN ranks Kelly in their top 20 NFL QB's of all time. In 11 seasons, he went to 5 Pro Bowls, 4 Super Bowls, and in his 5th NFL year posted over 3,800 yds passing, 33 TDs to 9 picks, and only missed 3000 yds in a season 3 times (he was injured part of those seasons). I'll take a washed up QB like that any day of the week.

Yup, and it holds true for this year. Happy with the season though, glad they ended the drought. Now that doesn't have to be the main goal next year. This game and the entire season proved that Tyrod just ain't the guy. Now that has to finally be clear even to the most ardent Tyrod supporters. I do think that things are different though, and that bodes well for "next year". McDermott fixed most of the defense, although pass rush and run defense needs to be improved. Now the offense gets a rebuild. I just made a fresh batch of Bills Kool-Aid...

I'm with you. I'm just glad the drought was broken this year so it wasn't next year's goal. Next year's goal needs to be much more than that!

Is there anyone that you don't look down on, or speak condescendingly to?? I happen to have some pretty big fields, one where I can shoot to 350 yds or further. And I like it. A lot. I sure wish I wasn't such a lousy hunter.

Saw where Shady was walking around in sandals instead of a walking boot yesterday. The reporter said he was walking fine with no limp. He's listed as a day to day decision which will probably turn into a game day decision. That makes me feel better about Sunday!
