And I am sure you have seen this one:

So today I go back and walk it again and sure enough the carcass is gone. Right next to where it laid was a big pile of coyote scat that wasn't there yesterday. Either way a coyote was involved. If it didn't kill the fawn it definitely carried it off. It is the third one I have found in the last few years and for some reason they have always been killed and partially eaten one night a dragged off the next day. A few years ago I left a buck during bow because it became to dark to track. Went back the next morning at daylight and when I found the buck the entire hind quarters was gone. I also had one kill and dismember a red fox in a trap. We have em for sure and they are some sneaky critters. 2015 fall on the same trail where the fawn was killed:

Hind quarters are gone...picture is deceiving. It was picked clean in less than 24 hrs Ravens were picking over it as I approached.......even the eyes were gone.

Walked this trail less than 24 hrs. ago.

If Cumo gets one where the sun doesn't shine we will see some government interaction. Until then it is every man/woman for themselves unless there is way to get them taxed to raise revenue for the state.

Teaching them the tricks of the trade...Had a doe in our hay field with a fawn and the grass was way taller than the fawn. She took it on a jaunt through the tall grass, came out into the yard, crossed the road, and into some thick brush on the other side. Seems like they are teaching them how to get around and what to expect.

Jefferson County Town of Orleans Burning Hay Bales: On May 23, Jefferson County Fire Coordinators requested DEC Forest Rangers to assist the LaFargeville Fire Department to extinguish a large pile of burning hay bales on the Perch River Wildlife Management Area. Approximately 300 large square bales weighing 1,000 pounds each and stacked in a single row 100 feet long and 12 feet high had been stored in a hay field prior to being moved off-site. Firefighting efforts were difficult because of the bales' remote location and the depth of the pile. A DEC excavator was used to break apart the bales and allow the water and Class A firefighting foam to penetrate the pile and extinguish the fire. By May 25, the fire was extinguished. DEC's Bureau of Environmental Crimes Investigation is investigating how the fire began.

Oswego County Town of Redfield Meth Lab Paraphernalia: On May 27, a Forest Ranger on foot patrol in the Salmon River State Forest discovered evidence and debris associated with homemade methamphetamine production. State Police were called in to process the scene and dispose of the highly hazardous paraphernalia. This marks the fourth occurrence of discovering similar debris on state lands in northern and central portions of the state within the past three weeks.

I have used Moultrie, Wildgame, and Stealth cams. Out of the three...for the money I am most satisfied with the Wildgame, and the Moultrie second. Not a big fan of the Stealth cams because of battery life. I thing if I buy another one it will be a Browning. They seem to take the best pictures and have the best reputation from what I have seen.

After listening to all the hoop la and being the simpleton that I am ...I believe he chose to leave for financial reasons. I don't get the feeling he is against reducing emissions but more concerned about dumping money into a pot that has no accountability. Considering the agreement calls for "The overall agreement asks developed countries to provide $100 billion to the fund" and "The U.S. also pledged $3 billion to the Green Climate Fund, which helps developing countries adapt and mitigate practices to fight climate change." Backing out now will not save us anything immediately because we are In it until at least 2020 but It may save money later down the road. Besides.... if we are doing it already voluntarily why dump millions more into it abroad when we can spend some of the money here to provide local companies the chance to step up their game. I don't think his claims to provide more jobs will pan out. Hard to say what the real objective is and we will probably never know but it seems un-likely he would go against Ivanka's wishes and some of the others he respects without a purpose. Just to bad he won't or can't explain why in a logical manner so every one doesn't get up in arms over it. The media is already prepared to beat this to death until the next piece of dirt falls. That is one reason I am watching less and less news every day.

Not me....Craigslist Posting Reward for Tree stand vandals in Webster A number of people have been vandalized and we're trying to find out who did this. If you are a hunter you will understand. IF you are the person who flags this I have a way to track it, so DON'T do it! And THE MORE you flag this the more likely I'll be finding you!!!!! $100 reward for any information that leads to the arrest and conviction of individual or individuals involved in damaging, stealing and altering tree stands on Plank Road. This has happened over the last 3 years at least and to me the end of November. Anyone caught doing this WILL BE prosecuted. Anyone with knowledge of who is doing this, please reply. I will not give specifics here but you will need to give specifics on what the damage is and location to be taken seriously. Anyone caught doing this WILL not only be prosecuted for vandalism BUT also for trespassing. If those involved read this, there are at least 5 hunters you have crossed the line with. We all are banding together, if you do this again you will surely be sorry in more ways than 1. There is nothing funny about this. You will be caught, it's just a matter of time. https://rochester.craigslist.org/wan/6144235239.html

It is probably better than nothing but we had better hope it works when & if we need it: The Missile Defense Agency says the test of what’s officially known as the Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) “will involve launching a threat-representative intercontinental ballistic missile-class target from the Reagan Test Site on Kwajalein Atoll in the Marshall Islands, and a ground-based interceptor from Vandenberg Air Force Base, California.” This is the first intercept test since 2014, which was reported to be a success, following two failures, giving the GMD program an overall record of nine hits out of 17 attempts, a success rate of just over 50 percent. Today’s test will cost an estimated $244 million, and according to the MDA, the U.S. has spent $28 billion on anti-missile systems through fiscal 2106.
