When I started huting deer in the 60's, we did not have cammo. We used what we had. I, must say, we did alright. Have never spent a lot of money on cammo. I, either use the chothes I have, and put a inexpensive shell over top. Do to the fact I have my own sewing machine, I will buy apiece of cammo, and make a poncho, only, with out the hood. A, yard or two of fabric, weather it is cammo or hunter orange, is a lot cheper than store bought cammo. If you do not have a sewing machine, good used ones a cheep. Try it you may be suprised what you come up with.

New to this forum. Been hunting N.Y. since about 1982, off and on. I have a old army buddy that lives in N. Y. so, we some time get together for a hunt. We, hunt in the southern Tier. I, live in Ohio. Going up this year for gun season if any of you are going to be in the southern Tier , maybe we can say hello.

I have always used RemOil it seems to do a good job. You would want something thin, and not get stiff in cold weather, and not gum up. I do not remember the name of the oil , haven't seen it since the mid 80's it was great, it even had Teflon in it.

I think it was Paul Newman that said the Oscars is a bunch of bull. How many more movies do you suppose are going to be remade? And why are people going to see the same movie?

I remember my time in the jungle back in the 60's, it is not a nice place to be with cloths on , I can not imagine going naked.

What part of NY do you live in? It seems as though it does not matter how much people pay for there house, some do not want to take of it. when I was presadant of a condo assn. it was very hard to get property owners to sit on the board. it's like come on people you are property owners. I will never under stand people. I, know what you are saying the world is a strange place now. I beleive we have our polications to thank for that. It seems as though they sat babk and let it happen The war on drugs my a$$ no one wants to stop drugs , to much money in it. money talks and you know that rest does.

Hello, I am 67yrs. I hunt NY because I have a real good friend that lived in the falls. we meet in the Army in the 60's and became good friends. We realy like the archery season. I hope I can share my knowledge with outhers.

ants, you hit the nail on the head. that happen to me with hot water tanks. the takts went out no me whille still undrer warrenty. called that companys costomer service. got a hold of some one in India. could not under stand a word he said. I will not buy any of that companys producsever, and will not buy any appliance from Lowe's either

Since I got older ( 67 ) I have had to hunt from the ground. I have tried many differnt seats, but they all semed ocward to carry. I thought there has to be a better way to sit. so, after some trial and error I came up with a seat I like. Every one that sees it says, I should patent it. I some how would like petent it. Can not afford a patent lawyer. The process of doing it my self is mind boggling. It would be nice if I had some one walk me through the process. I am kind of afrade to show it to, to many people. any way it works for me really well.

Has any one ever thought of puting flea and tick collers on your cloths.

I always wondered if any law enforcement (police) were just assainged to do traffic, and ticket every one that broke that states traffic law. kind of like a drag net . Every one knows of certain towns that you better not speed in, those towns have a reputation, and people pretty much mind there ps adn qs. I would have to belive things would get better. Only thing , the courts would be pretty full for a while It may be a way for that area to make some money. Just a thought.
