The thread was created for activity in WNY....not one guy pissing on another. Lets keep it to what we are seeing in our area, this is how a good thread gets killed. In southern Erie county deer activity has deff. picked up. Big guys are starting to show their face during daylight and scrapes have opened right up. My buddy had two seperate 6 pts. rubbig away on small trees the other day in the afternoon.

SQ2 how far past where you shot them did you look? You said they went over 100yrds(for what you said was a good shot) and then found them in the winter??
-
No worries.. I had a clean miss on a slick head this morning. I had to shoot between my bow hanger and the arm on our new hang-ons seat.(lets just say the seat will never be in the down position again) I bent at the knees and not hips, caused my arrow to fly right over her. She didnt have a clue what was going on until the blazer vane tickled her back!!

They work...but with the rain they wash away fast. Hang a scent wick and it will blow around more.

I have a Redfield Revenge on my Browming BAR .30-.06 and my Dad has a Redfield Revolution on his Browning .270 Both great scopes and great Warranty program.

Great Deer. That is a thick 8pt.

If he was 5 he would be a boy....at 19 he is a man. Just food for thought. When you get that first deer you will have earned it fisher!

Great Story Love that you had the guts to sick with your self imposed limit. Thats a true hunter. Now I dont have to see a story about him being at 38.26 yards, and that being well within my comfort level and I cant beleive i hit him to far back, or low, or high. -
Wow! That is a show around 8:30. That Big guy needs to go down. What an awesome rack!

You can blow through a brick of .22's in quicker than and hour and a half...

.41 Mag Ruger. Love everything about that gun.
-
Awesome deer! Let one fly on him Oct 1st, and clear up this debate once and for all.

Wow and I thought Italy was a cool place to spend a honeymoon. Awesome animals!

I have a 9g and am looking for a 9p.

Biz... You are confused that people hunt from Tree's with guns?? No reason to stay low when its alot easier to see things coming and going up high.

Shotgun Rifled Barrel or not?
mlammerhirt replied to Rev Ev's topic in Guns and Rifles and Discussions
You can put a slug through a modified choke. Remington also sells a rifled choke for a smooth bore barrel. -
Just ate at Swistons a couple weeks ago. Great place for a Beef on Weck!! and of course a cold pop.

Welcome! Where is your shop?

WNYBuckHunter do you actually have a 60 yrd. shot where you bow hunt, or is that pin for messing around shooting in your yard? Cause that is a long haul flinging an arrow 60yrds.
-
Try Setting the pins at 26 and 33. With the speed from Anarchy, and a properly matched arrow you should be good from 15-26 yrds. and then just aim high or low with the 33 and that should take you out past 37yrds. I shoot an Athens Ibex and this set-up works for me. The bow absolutley rips, and with .019 pin size on the sight by setting them up at 26 and 33 this gives you some gap, and they wont be stacked on each other.

This thread is awesome. Starts out with a guy trying to sell land, and ends up with a forum Tuff Guy telling a fellow member to shove Wikipedia up his As@. This is entertaining.
