  1. Any pics of the entrance and exit holes?? I am looking to make a switch soon.
  2. I was wondering the same thing when I read 350 fps....that may be the advertised speed for max performance......I am guessing you would be lucky to top 300fps in a chrono.....but like you said it blows through deer, and that is all that matters.
  3. At times like this it doesn't matter how big, or how many deer you ever shot.....anyone of us would trade it for health and happiness......I got a feeling your buddy and his son are fighters, and will pull through!! Prayers sent my friend!!
  4. I'll make it out next weekend with the smoke pole, then head to a camp we hunt on last day to try a final score and close the camp for the season.
  5. Deff. Gets you on paper.....and then fine tune from there.
  6. Remington Core Lockt 150gr. My wife dropped a doe with a neck shot at 75 yards in her tracks. They seem to group well out of her Marlin 336
  7. Can this be used for private property? I am looking to have the property lines on a map as well as stand locations....this could help with the neighbor posting a pretty skewed posted signs.
  8. Moog was the picture of that talk racked buck standing in the scape in the latest addition of New York Outdoor News??
  9. Deff a femoral shot.....the first deer I hit many years go when I started bow hunting took 10 slow steps and was lights out!
  10. Dead deer on the properties I hunt....as far as the rack i have always thought piebald bucks produced small thin racks??
  11. Thanks for all your help. I live south of Buffalo and this lake effect ban was parked over my house for days.....thank god high lift operators like yourself made it to Buffalo to help out...I must say I have a been thru some pretty bad storms over the last 20 years but once you are husband, father and property owner priorities change and you worry about a lot of things when weather like this hits. Once again thank you from all the people of Buffalo, we are a tuff Crew when it comes to dealing with snow, but this time we needed a little outside assistance. Lol!
  12. You guys don't enjoy deer meat? No ambition to make jerky?? Burgers??
  13. Looks like a good match to the trail cam photo
  14. Hope he finds it....that man puts in some serious time....was it a 12 or 20ga. He took a crack at it with? Not that it matters just wondering.
  15. Just spent two hours digging out two Dec officers on snowmobiles. They tried going down an unplowed road that has at least 4 foot of snow on it still. The machines were so heavyb they just tipped on there side!
  16. Nfl is a joke....the Bills should lend all their equipment to the cleanup effort. Like Willy said this is a joke of a game and with this serious weather situation the Bills game should be an afterthought!
  17. Right around 4 foot.....with 2 more on the way in the next 24 hrs!
  18. Heading back out in a few for round four of shoveling and snowblowing......Will post pics of this lake effect mess shortly!
  19. My sled is buried under 4 feet of snow..spent roughly 5 hours snowing blowimg today and barely put a dent in the driveway
  20. Hope this posts.....snow in Lakeview NY
  21. Close to 3 feet in Lakeview(Hamburg)....Will send a pic in a bit! My buddy just texted me jokingly "do you think the deer will be moving today" Time to fire up the snowmobile....travel ban in Hamburg means free time on the roads!!!
  22. Hunted 9p....saw a ton of doe and with fawns...no chasing and very few buck takin off our hill. A nice 9 pt. And a 5pt. By this time of year aren't the mature doe usually pushing away their fawns??
  23. The hitch Hoisting a deer on the roof could be a pain if you are alone. With the hitch mounted carrier I usually rap the deer in an inexpensive tarp to prevent road dirt and Crap from getting into the deer and then just bungee it all done. Works well, and little strain on the back.
