I started going out a few times a year a couple years ago and purchased the cyclops green light kit. From what I have read it's a flip of the coin......but will work. I have lit up deer with the green light while scanning and they didn't budge. I will also be interested to hear what the more seasoned guys think about the green. I kept at it throughout the day so it wasn't horrible. We did get round 2.......but i think it was a very light couple of inches. I am really lucky I took down the kids trampoline Wednesday and pulled my blinds by Xmas Eve. I think they would have all been dunzo with the weight of this crap. Sent from my moto z3 using Tapatalk

There is a plus and a minus to everything. Some people pay to use a gym and were left high and dry when they all shut down......but the people who work out at home and already had their equipment didn't miss a beat. Others pay to hunt a private lease and enjoy going when they want and most the time aren't worried about other hunters....while public land is very rewarding it can give a hunter fits. Went out to plow my driveway around 7am...the neighbors and in-laws. You plow guys don't get enough credit ......that job is for the birds! 700 acres......how many guys/girls get in on this together........even at 7 your only at a 1400 for the year per person. Like GMan said taxes are going up.....never down. At some people's different stages of life a 1400 a year is way easier to swing than paying taxes plus a pretty hefty lump some payment for hunting land. Sent from my moto z3 using Tapatalk

Also get rid of the strap on the cam and use some type of screw-in mounting device whether it's homemade or store-bought that won't allow somebody to see it if they're walking up from behind. I've noticed you can spot straps from a mile away in the woods. You can YouTube homemade trail cam mount and they're very simple to do by just picking up a few pieces at your local hardware store. There are days you just wish never started. The woods was our escape this year......my boys were hooked on squirrel hunting.....they find....I shoot. I think that may have saved our family who is used to being on the go..... participating in different activities or just visiting friends...and all that was reduced to zippo this year.
