You may be, but you will never be as cool as this Mongolian Shepherd with his AK-47 and snow leopard pet. Sorry.

The group’s talking points are a rehash of the arguments gun control advocates have used for decades. They claim Second Amendment is “an important part of our Constitution, and we don’t take issue with responsible gun owners,” but gun owners in California, Connecticut, and New York can tell you exactly how well gun rights are respected in those states. They further argue they want to address the “epidemic of gun violence” despite overwhelming evidence of falling crime rates. Fortunately for Second Amendment advocates, these firms have been defeated in the past. Covington & Burling, representing the District of Columbia, lost the landmark Supreme Court case, District of Columbia v. Heller, which held that the right to keep and bear arms was an individual right guaranteed by the Second Amendment. Their legal strategies have a similar track record of failure. Anti-gun groups using the Environmental Protection Agency to ban lead ammunition were defeated in federal court in 2014. In October, attorneys pushing a tortured interpretation of the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act (PLCAA) were handed a defeat by a Connecticut Superior Court. As to what motivates these firms, it isn’t high-minded altruism. They stand to profit enormously if they can win lawsuits. Attorneys collected more than $8.2 billion in legal fees when the four largest U.S. tobacco companies settled lawsuits brought by the attorneys general of 46 states. These firms are counting on the sheer financial burden of defending lawsuits to bring gun manufacturers to the settlement table and score a financial windfall. NRA/ILA

This ought to ruffle a few feathers
Rattler replied to Water Rat's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
This stupid award goes to any person that has had the most significant effect, good or bad, on the world in the past year. Time shows it's bias against Trump with the label below him calling the US the "Divided States of America". We have been divided ever since Obama's first term was even over, so making it sound like Trump is the reason we are divided is just yellow journalism, which is what Time mostly practices. -
Proof of NRA Stupidity

That was sarcasm. -
"Obama disappeared from our collective television screens, replaced by unpopular candidates Clinton and Trump, who slung mud at each other and stole the limelight. As a result, Obama discovered that the abstract idea of a lame-duck Obama was more popular than the cold reality of eight-year President Obama. He wisely adjusted by rarely being heard from or seen for much of 2016. So Obama now departs amid the ruin of the Democratic Party into a lucrative post-presidency: detached and without a legacy." —Victor Davis Hanson He'll profit mightily from his abuse of power and hatred of the law. He can only hope to be as criminally successful as the Clinton's though.

Proof of NRA Stupidity
Rattler replied to Uptown Redneck's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
I think he once called them a terrorist organization and blames them for every crime committed with a firearm. It's not the fault of the criminal the NRA makes it so easy for them to buy a gun. -
I'm sure Trump's Attorney General will shut these legal idiots down with a pro 2nd A DOJ anyway. Heck, Holder and Lynch abused their power to the point of committing crimes. Lynch even took the 5th in from of a hearing committee. I don't think any of these social justice lawyers will get anywhere with their plans to destroy a constitutional right by suing anyone who exercises that right.

They fail to realize support for the 2nd A was a big part of the total Leftist defeat in this election. The people have decided by a big majority, the 2nd A is needed as it was written. To many good people saw the government sick the dogs on them in the last 8 years, knowing the only thing left to protect themselves is a firearm. OBAMA WILL GO DOWN IN HISTORY AS THE GREATEST GUN SALESMAN THAT EVER LIVED!!

Proof of NRA Stupidity

How is this "proof" the NRA is stupid? I see it as PROOF you're stupid. -
Tomorrow, Thursday 12/8 may be my last chance to get a buck this year. I plan to spend the entire day out there. Got snow on the ground which may not get rained away tonight, temps should be about 35 degrees and cloudy during the day. There have also been a few sightings of a couple of 8 pointers close by my hunting area, so that helps my optimism. I'm hoping for the best. Not sure if I'll hunt with the muzzle loader this year or not.

The Dakota Pipeline
Rattler replied to Water Rat's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
OOOOoooooo, I know, I know. Total reversal of all of it, once most people come to realize Obama's presidency was the biggest hoax ever perpetrated on the American people. -
The Dakota Pipeline
Rattler replied to Water Rat's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
The pipeline wasn't going on Indian land, and the river it was going under already has a couple of pipelines under it. That negates the issues the protesters claimed to be fighting. This was an organized, systematic, dishonest scam that was orchestrated by Soros and Buffet to prevent that pipeline from taking over the oil business that Buffet's railroad transports now. He makes millions from it and was not about to let that slip away. All of the violent agitators, that drew heavy handed tactics from the authorities, and were video taped for the propaganda value, were paid to be there and cause violence to occur. The lap dag media was very happy to broadcast all of this phony protest crap with the goal of making clueless Americans support shutting it down. (I'm sure the media was also well compensated by Buffet for doing so) The clueless in America have almost become the majority. If not for Trump's election, I'd say they were the majority now. -
Yeah, they all truly love this country and everything it stands for. What's your point? When are you going to admit everything you thought Americans supported, was wrong?
-
Today would not be soon enough. He intends to wreck a lot more havoc while he's still in power. The man truly hates this country and everything it stands for. He's also a meat puppet for billionaires who share the same opinions.
-
You're confused. Obama has destroyed America. Trump has asked for a chance to make it great again. The country has decided to give him the chance. Nobody but Progressive Leftists are saying anything negative about anything he has done so far. Fortunately, nobody gives the Left any credibility anymore.

1978 New in Box? Now that's a real find. Worth more than a new one. I recommend a factory load for what ever it's chambered for.

American made rifles.. what's out there
Rattler replied to Al Bundy's topic in Guns and Rifles and Discussions
I know a few who own Kimber Montanas as well as other Kimber models. Everyone loves them and none have had any issues with them. They are all tack drivers too. I'm not sure where you read about issues, but I have not seen any. -
Some food for thought on this issue, "While Lois Lerner and her acolytes at the Internal Revenue Service got away with unlawfully blocking the tax-free applications of conservative groups — which the agency is still doing, by the way — Obama's Justice Department is busy punishing those who actually take Rule of Law seriously. The latest example comes from Colorado, where the Denver Sheriff Department was handed "a $10,000 fine after it required applications for deputy sheriff jobs to be U.S. citizens when hiring from the beginning of 2015 through March 2016," the Washington Examiner says. To remedy the situation, "The department will ... have to go through old applications to find applicants who were eliminated because of their citizenship status and reconsider them for future jobs" and "will also have to train its human resources staff on the Immigration and Nationality Act's anti-discrimination provisions." This from the administration that selectively enforces immigration law. Heritage Foundation fellow Hans von Spakovsky outlines the reasons the statute likely isn't applicable in this case. Also, don't miss the irony here. The IRS, to name just one example, spent years circumventing the law in order to subjugate Tea Party groups. But when it comes to the DOJ, its behavior is hardly different; the agency is selectively enforcing rules based entirely on whether it benefits the Left. Spakovsky writes, "Given the importance of the job done by law enforcement officers throughout all levels of government to protect the public from those who would harm them ... requiring citizenship seems like a basic, commonsense qualification." "The federal government certainly thinks so," he adds, "because it does not apply this statute to itself. If you want to be a special agent for the Federal Bureau of Investigation, which often works closely with local law enforcement, including sheriff's departments like Denver's, the FBI website specifically says that you 'must be a United States citizen.' The same is true of the U.S. Secret Service, which routinely discriminates against noncitizens in a manner that no doubt horrifies the DOJ's Office of Special Counsel for Immigration-Related Unfair Employment Practices." You know what else requires U.S. citizenship? You guessed it — the DOJ. Federal agencies are hardly immune to corruption. They never have been. But when the Justice Department bends the rules — for example, by refusing to prosecute IRS bureaucrats and by enforcing rules from which it exempts itself — the administration can hardly be considered "the most transparent in history." It's a fast track to tyranny." The Heritage Foundation This is the issue most American's have with this administration. They do not follow the Rule of Law until they want to use it against the opposition.

American made rifles.. what's out there
Rattler replied to Al Bundy's topic in Guns and Rifles and Discussions
I think American rifles compare favorably to foreign ones when they are both in the same price range. Some people just want to buy from an American manufacturer. Firearms, at least from most makers, are one of the only things still 100% made in America. I have nothing but respect for all Kimber rifles and Marlins are not shoddy either. -

And that may be because no personal concealed carry weapons are allowed on that campus. If a concealed carrier had killed him, the media would not be supporting it. -

Rattler replied to Al Bundy's topic in Guns and Rifles and Discussions
Dan, check out the Kimber Montana 84M in 7mm-08. Very similar to the NULA but much less expensive. Chas, a lot of American rifles have wood and fine blued steel. Some have very high grade walnut with a lot of figure too. They may be more expensive than foreign made rifles though, but there are plenty to choose from. I trying to think of an American rifle maker than doesn't offer wood stocks other than NULA. Not even sure they don't offer one. -

It's wrong to call this guy an "active shooter" when he killed people with a car and a knife. He did not have a gun. I smell an agenda here. Why not tell the truth and call it a murderer on a rampage? Just proves if all guns were taken away, it only makes the murderer's task easier and longer.
