  1. Oh I agree the gun owners of NY State are their own worst enemy. Even removing half of the population of votes because they are too young to vote, or illegal, there should've been at least 10 million votes cast. But the policies produced by the man are still the problem. He's the one making the decisions. He's the head Progressive Leftist Marxist that chooses where this ship sails. The electorate is full of idiots, but he's the one who should be blamed for the failure of NY State in the near future, along with the clueless morons that voted for him. The people are to be blamed for not stopping him, but he's the one doing the damage.
  2. I was once looking to buy a 25-06 in a Remington 700 BDL with a bull barrel. It was a beautiful rifle at a fair price. Long range heavy varminter. I compared the ballistics to a .270 Win and was surprised to find the .270 outperformed it with factory 100 and 130 loads, using 24" barrels, producing more speed and energy and even flatter trajectory with 130 gr loads, all the way to 500 yards. I never would have imagined that. The .270 loads were easier to find and less expensive too. Somehow I never wound up with either.
  3. I just read Cuomo is now planning to give illegals free legal services now as well. He will be using our tax dollars and the legal system to protect aliens, including criminal aliens, from the law. This man, and all who support him, are destroying everything hard working citizens in NY have spent their lives working for. If there is anyone who ever deserved to be hit by a lightning bolt, It's Andrew Cuomo.
  4. Three years from now, when I start collecting Social Security, I'll end all work relationships and sell my NY home and the property I rent. All the proceeds will be deposited in the bank and so will my SS checks. I'll get a debit card and pay any bills online. I'm gonna buy a custom Sprinter van, or maybe the big Ford van, and hit the road for at least a year, living out of the van. I don't have a wife, so I'm free to do anything I like. I have a daughter in Oregon, one in SC and a son in Texas now. I have friends and relatives in half the states in this country too. The plan is to see the USA, and all my peeps while investigate where I want to land for the rest of my life. I'm leaning towards the western mountains of NC now, but you never know where the trail will take you. I'll start out in late spring heading north to Maine, then cross the northern states for the summer, heading west to Washington and Oregon. From there head south in the fall, staying completely out of California, as I have no desire to even visit there, much less live there, then cruise the southern states for the winter. I don't plan on seeing all the states, but I will see about 3/4 of them in that year. Depending on how it goes, I'll either buy a place at the end of that year, or just do it again for a 2nd year. I actually find the idea of being a drifter very appealing. I should be quite the experience. NY was supposed to be the place I stayed to the end, but these Progressive Leftist Marxists are completely intolerable to a man born free and determined to stay that way.
  5. In the UK guns are banned, and knives are now a big problem. Then there's this. LOL! https://www.mrctv.org/blog/uk-police-install-roadside-knife-surrender-bin-are-shocked-when-its-raided-criminals?fbclid=IwAR3mWeySSjxuVHtW1YdsdK6U7Zr9bMgYNE0PmF1OZ9f3l4Sck7t7Q-Hqb74
  6. I think it's their only chance to show some leadership ability, so they fight to keep it.
  7. Riddle me this: Why is it people who drive 10 MPH under the speed limit, will punch the throttle and take it to 10 MPH over the limit when they see you are trying to pass them?
  8. Nope, you're reading it wrong. I'm cruising 5 MPH over the limit and have not passed anyone to be where I am. They come up on me and start tailgating. I'm also very aware of what's going on in front of me. I don't give them any reason to tailgate and I don't pass people then slow down.
  9. Bad idea. Too many trucks with plows.
  10. I ignore people behind me. I'm not legally responsible for anything that happens behind me. If they hit me in the rear, it's legally their fault. Unless I brake check them, which I don't do, they hit me and they are in trouble. I'm not going to let them distract me from what's going on in front of me. They are completely insignificant to me. What makes me mad are people who pass me, then slow down so I have to hit my brakes and deactivate my cruise control. I set it about 5 MPH over the limit on the highway, so if they pass me I would expect them to keep going faster than I'm going. Nope, they just want to be in front so they don't have to pay attention to where they're going.
  11. This is a bridge downtown near where I live. The deer cross the bridge at night around midnight so they don't have to swim the river. Usually they run from your car. This time they had cars coming from both sides and didn't seem to be able to decide what to do. LOL!
  12. The beginning of the "DEER LIVES MATTER" movement.
  13. NY always seems to get everything wrong. Reusable bags better than plastic bags? Read this. https://fee.org/articles/plastic-bag-bans-wont-help-the-environment-but-theyll-make-people-sick/
  14. New York's decision to join the cabal of states outlawing plastic bags in grocery stores is a futile decision, writes Hans Bader at the Foundation for Economic Freedom. "Plastic bags are less than one percent of all litter. Moreover, alternatives like cloth and paper bags are in many cases worse for the environment than plastic bags, and far worse for public health."
  15. The man is in the state legislature. Choose to not listen to him at your own peril.
  16. Old, dried beef and chicken blood is pretty bad.
  17. Better wash your hands after putting all your groceries away too. Grocery bags washed with towels will be fine if you put in enough bleach to kill all the bacteria from the bags.
  18. Think smoking legal weed is not going to harm you?
  19. Produce Belo, produce. Not to mention what gets on the containers, which also gets on your hands, which gets injested if you don't wash you hands prior to touching the food, your lips, or even your eyes. Without constant washing, those canvas bags are gross. And unless they are strong enough to stand up to lots of washing, they won't last very long. I can see lots of groceries hitting the parking lot pavement when the owner finds out they were worn out. BTW, take out places will still be allowed to put your food in plastic bags. Isn't that discrimination?
  20. We did switch to plastic to save the trees. Soon paper bags won't be allowed either. Canvas bags will be required at your own expense and inconvenience. If you think that's a good idea, think about this. Studies have found those reusable canvas bags become loaded with bacteria after only a few uses. They will make you sick in short order since you are putting your food in them. Better get bags that are washable and plan to wash them regularly.
  21. If a CEO runs his company into bankruptcy, he gets fired. If a blue state leftist Gov. runs his state into the ground, he gets a 25% raise in pay? Seems like that gives him incentive to strive to bankrupt the state, doesn't it? Come to think of it, merit pay increases don't seem to be practiced in any government service position. You can be nothing more than a huge expense to the taxpayers, yet still get a nice raise and eventual pension.
  22. The people who pressured Dick's into their anti-gun policies were never Dick's customers. They were paid political activists working for leftist anti-gun organizations, funded by wealthy leftist elites, like Mike Bloomberg. These activists had one goal, stop the sale of guns. They were not at all concerned about destroying a company that employed a great deal of people. The end justifies the means. That should be evidence to all regarding the left's concern for individuals, who get run over by their insane drive to control everything.
  23. Neither Jackson nor Sharpton belong to any "organized" religion. They don't head up any church and have no congregation. In the African American culture, Rev. is a term relegated to community leaders. They use is to avoid paying taxes on anything, and that is about the extent of their organization and religion. It's nothing more than a scam utilizing a legal loophole to promulgate a hoax.
  24. This guy did nothing wrong. He legally harvested a rare white wild turkey. For that, ESPN's Olbermann insults him and calls for people to make his life a "living hell". This is the type of anti-hunting thing that has to stop. No laws were broken and nothing should be allowed to happen to anyone who isn't doing anything wrong. https://www.nraila.org/articles/20190329/espn-sportscaster-attacks-sportsman
