This is a small lawn at only about 4K. I'm going to be testing some new (to me) bermuda grass varieties (Yukon, Blackjack and Maya). Also will be playing with nutrition and pest management. I'm not familiar with that Toro product... will check it out. Us old retired folks need a hobby! LOL

I’m in the process of creating a new lawn at my house. Soil test complete. First tilling and OM addition complete. Installing a drainage catch basin and line and re-contouring the seedbed. Will have to spray R-Up and re-till. Soil is crappy, Rocky red clay. Will be seeding when soil temperature reaches 65*. Lots of hand work for an old fart.

I'd suggest going to Ilya Koshkin's website Optics Thoughts. As far as high end optics with high magnification at the top end, you're probably looking at Tangent Theta, March Optics and possibly Nightforce. Be prepared to open the wallet though.

Thanks gents. I kind of discounted the TC's as they are no longer made nor warrantied. Interesting comment on the Traditions. I wasn't too impressed with them myself. Ya never know though!

Looking at picking up my first traditional muzzleloader... probably percussion. No interest what-so-ever in the newer in-line types. I have checked out Traditions (seemed kind of cheesy), Lyman (used to be well regarded but perhaps QC issues as of late), and Pedersoli. The Peds are nice, albeit heavy and rather expensive for production guns. If I'm gonna be pushing that kind of money, I might just have one built. I've been having a discussion with John Bergmann and W.B.Selb regarding a build. Big $ though. Too many decisions, too little time! Anybody have any words of wisdom?
