I stopped at the local deli this morning after turkey hunting.This little mooch sat on my side view mirror looking for a piece of my buttered roll. I was able to feed him out of my hand.

Thanks for the suggestion WNYBuckHunter , and your right about the camo dipping lasting longer than paint. The only problem is , that I cant find any companies that have the original camo dipping pattern available. I guess I'll go with the realtree xtra green pattern when the time comes. Maybe I'll give Mossberg a call and see what they suggest. Thanks again.

Started off with a single shot 10 gauge.... after a while it got too heavy to lug up/down the mountain. Then I got the Mossberg 835 Ulti Mag in the early 1990's. It has the NWTF medallion in the stock , but the camo paint eventually started coming off. I painted it a few times and other than that , I never had a problem with it. So today I decided to treat myself to a 2016 Mossberg 835 Ulti Mag ($499) . I also considered the 935 but I didn't feel like dealing with the routine maintenance of the gas piston rings/seals. I remember those problems with my 1100 . Anyway , I hope to Christen it next month.

I tend to piss money away when it comes to hunting/fishing/trapping.

I managed to get a better photograph of my crow friend. I threw out some peanuts for him and he's been here all day. The only problem is that the other crows dive bomb and attack him. Maybe they don't like him due to the banding ? If this crow was banded near Cornell , that's approximately 142 miles from my house. That's quite the distance "as the crow flies". He also has white and purple leg bands.

A true classic.

When I looked through the binoculares , I saw the letters AE in black on a orange backround. I'll keep you posted if I hear anything. www.birds.cornell.edu "click " on crow research page
