  1. Go for it you will be increasing your odds. Like I said in your other thread I give you a lot of credit trying it up there with a bow.I've hunted the last 2 ML seasons up there and its a little warm for me,but I had the Whole park to myself.
  2. I saw one creep up and grab a goose. I though it was a dog until it trotted by with the goose. That was on randell ave. By the cemetery Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I’ve seen them in the Bronx a few times. Talk about adapt and survive!!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Thanks I don’t have Facebook Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Not doubting you, but do you have the link for that Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. The park [Ferris lake] i'm hunting in has over 150 thousand acers and that's just the foothills.
  7. I've been using the same back pack for 20+ years bowhunting never had a problem shooting with it on.Now that i'm still hunting with guns I found out the shoulder strap interferes with shouldering the gun,so I switched to a sling pack picked up a tenzing last year but the pockets are to small to hold anything.I just picked up a sitka choke pack it has big pockets and I like the fact I don't have to take it off to get into it.The only problem is there's no room for extra cloths.

  9. Did you use a wing to attract it? i'm setting up a few traps for next week mostly for yotes, but might set a few for a cat. congrats again!!!!
  10. I just started still hunting up in the ADK it's awesome.I'm still learning but have seen a few deer and a sow with cubs.I'm heading up next week for 13 days weather permitting i'll be still hunting most of it.

  12. You ever walk out the door and get that smell that says today is a going to be a great day to hunt? That’s the way I felt this morning heading to the polls to vote. Good luck everyone!!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Cool seems like the skunk controls the pile.I like the hawk tail in the last pic.I did a baitsickle during the muzzle loader season the buzzards cleaned it out fast.
  14. looking to replace my 7 pin spot hogg sight with a single pin. HHA sights keeps coming up with great reviews.Anyone use ether model or both.If I got this right the OL is a lever with 10yrd increments and the DS is a dial with one yard increments.Any input would be appreciated.
  15. Not mine but my brother scored a five pointer here on Long Island. It’s an average buck for the area he was hunting. He asked me yesterday when to use the doe pee his kids gave him. I said now explained how to use a drag. He said it walked in right up to the drag rope. Good thing is him and his daughter only like the back straps the rest is mine. out of likes “congrats to all the successful and good luck to the rest”
  16. congrats !!! Do you have a better pic of the rack. That can opener on his rights side looks pretty cool. I like when they have kickers, crabclaws and can openers, ect. makes them more unique.
  17. Congrats !!!!!!!! Did you check out his eye and see what was going on there?
  18. Took the bresaola out today. It came out better then I thought. Very peppery with a nice amount of rosemary.Cured it for 8 weeks. This is a beef eye of round favored in northern Italy.
  19. yes I also use them to hold my gun. some of them have little hooks for bino, range finder and what not.i use little hook for my back pack
  20. ez hangers I get the three pack.
  21. The first dog proof traps I had[the egg] had to be taken apart to get there foot out. If I wanted to release the coon i put a pal with a notch cut in the side and pull his leg and trap out. I'll never get over the strength those little buggers have.
  22. Thanks guys I ordered the 3 pack.I'll check them out then pick up another 3 pack.
  23. If you could go over your skinning and fleshing tools. It looks like your using a necker fleshing knife.I'm thinking of getting the necker 600 fleshing knife. which do you like better the wire or wood stretchers.
  24. Same here i did two shoulders with my mothers mixer and the motor burnt out. In all fairness she used it a lot. I grind chicken and pork plus venison in mine year round. I’m not sure how old it is but I definitely got my money’s worth. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. I’m going to get the three pack. I actually need six systems, but I’ll start with these. The only treestand I ever fall off of was a ladder stand. Stepped back to far hooking up my harness. https://www.cabelas.com/product/HUNTER-SAFETY-SYSTEM-LIFE-LINE-SYSTEM-PK/1995795.uts Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
