The altitude sickness can be punishing. Machu Picchu isn't that bad because it's only 6K feet. Cusco is where you'll most likely be staying (closest big city to Machu Picchu) is the problem. It's over 11K feet. Kicked my butt. Guinea Pig taste fine. Sort of like squirrel. It's the skin I don't like. A bit slimy. If you're not into it and just want to sort of "dip your toes" into it, have it chicharron style. That's when they chop it up into cubes, batter it then deep fry it. You won't know it's guniea pig at that point. When in Peru, make sure you get a chance to go to Puno and visit the Uro people on Lake Titicaca. It's an entire village that floats in the lake. Exit pupil is size of objective lens divided by the magnification. Example, 40mm divided by 5 magnification gives you an exit pupil of 8mm. A healthy human eye can only handle about 7 to 8 mm exit pupil (smaller if age takes it's toll). Anything beyond that can't be seen by the human eye and therefore wasted. If you find that most of your hunting will be at 4 magnification, then 33mm objective lens is enough. Any larger is wasted money and weight/balance on your rifle. If you find yourself using higher magnifications, then maybe a larger objective lens may be important.

It's the concept of the "psychological stop". Most sane criminals will run the moment they're shot or shot at. No one can in a split second say "I've been shot...wait a minute..that's just a 22. I'll just stay and take a few more rounds to my chest". Of course there are the drugged up guys high on bath salt. Well, for those guys, don't care if it's a 380, 9mm, or 45 ACP. My leather man key chain is actually my second. Lost the first the same way. I usually put my keys in my check in luggage or remove the leather man and leave it at home if I'm just traveling with a carry on bag. But this one particular case I was hung over and rushing to the airport because I was late and forgot my it was still attached to my keys in my pocket until I got to security.
