  1. It is too late. They stopped selling the 2012 doe tags around 6 months ago.
  2. If a man says something in the forest and no woman was there to hear him, is he still wrong?
  3. Man...it's just too easy it feels like a trap!
  4. They're simply jokes to get a reaction. Hope no one is offended.
  5. Damn. That sucks. Sorry to hear. Thought I was having a bad week.
  6. I'm the only one who's willing to say talk about them I guess.
  7. Why did God decide to give men nipples? I have a theory. it's like the appendix. The appendix use to be a large organ filled with a flesh eating bacteria and was required when we were cavemen who ate all our meat raw. (fact) Once we started cooking our food, the appendix lost it's function and started to become smaller and smaller. I think at one point, men use to breast feed the babies. Then they domesticated women and thus our mammary glands started to disappear. Okay, just kidding.
  8. You don't think it will but it works. I had bacon sundae. Lavender or Rose Ice Cream. That's great too. Deep fried Oreos and black pepper on strawberries are other combinations that makes little sense but totally works.
  9. Why is our family jewels darker than the rest of our bodies when it gets no sun?
  10. Depends. On a windy day, yes, a 22WMR will fight the wind better but on a calm day, the smaller, more aero-dynamic 17HMR cuts through the air better. Less air friction.
  11. Try to go after them last summer with the airguns but the only ones I saw were barely the size of my thumb.
  12. Adding to what Doc said, there seems to be a trend or movement of late regarding conservation, self-sufficiency, and food. Examples of recent trends: 1. Paleo-diet 2. Barefoot running 3. Survival shows such as Man versus Wild, Survivor Man, etc. 4. Disasters prep shows such as Doomsday Preppers. 5. The growing fascination with zombie movies/shows and threat of a zombie apocalypse. The last one might seem like a joke but in all seriousness, it did cause some people to reflect on their own self-sustainability. A highly successful banker friend of mine told me once that he regrets his profession since if civilization broke down and money is no longer valued, he couldn't do anything of value. Not even fix a car. I think stuff like that is more on peoples minds now than 5 or 10 years ago.
  13. 1. Instead of teaching kids firearm safety, we'll teach how to gamble and play the lottery instead. 2. Wonder how many crying kids will there be when they traded in their favorite toy nerf gun and then was told they didn't win the bike?
  14. Once I found out I was allowed to use muzzleloaders in most shotgun only areas, I went with a muzzleloader instead. Gives me the accuracy and distance I want that I couldn't get from the 12 gauge and plus it doesn't kick like a mule.
  15. How about the ones that only stops by to make guest appearances ever so often.
  16. Sure glad April has finally arrived.
  17. I stand corrected. But FDA still seems to get their hands in there it seems. This link is for CT. http://www.cga.ct.gov/2005/rpt/2005-R-0402.htm
  18. Proper form due to pulling the right poundage out weights any benefits you get from added speed through a higher poundage. Not saying you do but if I was getting into a pissing contest in archery, I'm showing off how many arrows I can get in the bullseye and not how much weight I can pull back.
  19. That's what I told the police officer but he still gave me a ticket for urinating in public.
  20. NYchick - farmed deer can be sold because they have to follow USDA regulations etc. Hard for USDA to follow and regulate every hunter an their meat handling practices.
  21. Honestly, I don't think the time and money involved makes getting into hunting purely for food purposes economically worth it. Especially not in the first few years if you've never hunted before. Most people who I've talked to who hunt for their own food go out in the woods even if they are not harvesting meat. They're already investing time and money into going out and enjoying nature so the meat they bring home is considered "free" and a "bonus".
