  1. Menaggio looks nice! Love me small old quint towns. Looks like you're having an epic adventure.

  3. Yes, pan needs to be piping hot before adding food. To clean, I just use plain water and a scrub pad. I keep a separate scrub pad that has never felt an ounce of soap on it. After a good scrubbing, I then heat it a little bit over the stove to dry it. I've cooked eggs on it before just fine but I do prefer a regular pan for eggs though.
  4. Not having enough faith in grocery store bought fish as well, I use to make California rolls or veggie rolls. Forgotten all about it. I might actually break out my sushi roller this weekend.
  5. I really didn't care for Rome either. It was took commercialized. I found that I had a much better time in the smaller towns in Italy then the big cities. For example Cinque Terre was great even while still being a major destination spot. In Rome, the quint neighborhood of Trastevere was a nice quiet breather. If you want to wander around Rome, be sure to check out Trastevere.
  6. "I'm going to pet him and kiss him and love him and squeeze him and hug him and call him George."
  7. That's great to hear. Keep at it grampy.
  8. Looks like a lot of fun. Would love to have enough space one day to raise a few.
  9. ETA 9/25. It'll be #2. Plus I just started a new job which means I can't request vacay for a year so I can't even take one before hand.
  10. Congratulations! Pretty much the same situation with me and then some.
  11. Per Se and Eleven Madison Park are consistently ranked in the top ten of restaurants in the entire world. Not just US. A grand maybe a bit much for me but to each their own. Once I approach a grand, my mindset would normally wander into "where can I travel to with this money instead?". Unfortunately I can't travel this year anyway so I guess I do have a little extra spending cash sitting around.
  12. Thanks, Two Track. 10% is barely noticeable. Cabelas is offering $50 off some models which is more than 10% and they're not the ones going out of business. 5% of guns? This doesn't seem like it's worth the hour drive for me.
  13. I also notice the fish and potato versus salad ratio. My stomach says good...my brain says bad.
  14. Well that's because Larry's drives one of the old Buicks that no one mistakes for something else.
  15. Seems like I missed it. I wouldn't jump on a boat for squid though. Was simply looking to do it off of a pier. if I was paying to get on a boat I'd rather go so something more worth while like Stripe Bass, etc.
  16. Anyone know what the Middletown Gander looks like? I would like to pick up a Yeti Hopper cooler at a reduced price if possible.
  17. I think the cause isn't responsible users who recyclers and/or properly disposes of their trash. The recycling system has been fairly good about gathering and recycling plastic. I believe most of what we see in the ocean comes from litter bugs, illegal dumping, and open trash containers when hit by storms. Also. 3rd world countries that don't have any form of recycling/sanitation systems.
