  1. In. Da. Face! Bro, why didn't you use the fire extinguisher?!?!
  2. That is a big bear! I'm in for a guess at 450, but wolc will check the PA Girth Chart and tell you for sure.
  3. Nope. Not giving my money to those gun grabbers either.
  4. I see wolves. Blocky versus pointy snouts and long legs and tails. Granted the pics are fuzzy, but so are most of my yote pics on cam and these doggies look different. Wolves, final answer.

Thinking about starting a fire. Either way, it's Hump Day!

Debating whether or not to open big brother CBS next?
  9. Well, he doesn't own a scale so 40 lbs seems legit.
  10. https://huntingny.com/forums/topic/47975-big-raccoon-ate-his-last-bushel-of-corn-last-night/?tab=comments#comment-698535
  11. Nap time or Texas Heart shot? Seriosusly though, it sounds like that coon was a serious nusiance to your corn pile.
  12. Very glad you are recovering now and that this event didn't have a worse outcome. Your message is spot on, something driven home to me early this year by my Dad's surgery: TOMORROW ISN'T PROMISED TO ANY OF US. Amen to living well today and spreading the love around you.
  13. So anything left in plain sight represents an open invitation for trespassers and criminals? Wow, ok. Why even bother asking for hunting permission then? Do we just help ourselves to any and all property left unattended, like 'finders keepers'? ETA: At no point in lutzweiser's post does he indicate that he even possesses a PA hunting license so you cannot dismiss the poaching.
  14. Wrapping the carabiner with some athletic tape or such can help deaden any incidental metal on metal noise while you're hunting.
  15. As an alternative, you could buy rope by the foot and a 'biner to make your own. EMS or other shops that sell climbing gear will have these.
  16. From NE corner and a prevailing west wind and crops standing, I'd look to walk in via the east edge and drop into #4 from mid-field from a due north bearing in the am. That could be a nice cut-off route to/from bedding and the apples. As grampy noted, #3 area appears to be center stage for deer movement. Sure is a nice buck you caught on cam there! An east or south wind sets up for a walk in down the west edge to #2. Check cards on the way in to pin point movement times and adjust your strategy accordingly.
  17. If that dude was looking for attention on the interwebs, he's about to get more than plenty now.
  18. Very sorry for your loss, swamp bucks.
  19. omg, can I get Vegas odds on this?!
  20. Always been fascinated by the drone game. Cool to watch. Hiking is my hunting off-season. I shared a bunch of my recent hikes in the Camping/Hiking sub-forum and have a couple more big hikes in mind before November.
  21. Drop them off for a swim and avoid the messy cleanup.
