    Both. Go with whatever floats your boat. Personally, I prefer to be in a tree where I can extend my field of view while staying relatively hidden. However, being eye-to-eye on the ground with a deer is one hell of an experience.

    Honestly, if I'm out hunting, I'm out hunting and not checking the time on my cell every 5 minutes. Never took a shot outside of legal times, but can't say with 100% certainty that it will never happen. Maybe 10/15 minutes off is possible, but not 30-60 minutes. There you have it. The guys knowingly jacking deer know who they are.

    The historical tidbit was posted in reference to an Independent party candidate not being NY Governor since the Civil War. To think that Sharpe has a viable shot at winning in November, one would have to ignore about 160 consecutive years of a D or R at the helm.

    Respectfully, you would need to go back to Reuben Fenton during the Civil War to find the last non-D or R Governor of NY. Sharpe has no shot to beat Cuomo.

Voter turnout for Astorino was pathetic considering how highly we're taxed, the rampant corruption, horrible business climate and last, but certainly not least, Cuomo's un-SAFE Act. If I lived in or near NYC, I'd be pretty ticked about the MTA mess too. The only chance to unseat Cuomo is voting for Molinaro. Period, end of story. Splitting votes elsewhere is a win for Cuomo. Why do you think the WFP dumped Nixon for King Andy at the last minute? Answer: they don't want to risk splitting his votes and allowing Molinaro to steal a win. Like it or not, the state is 2-1 registered Democrats to Republicans. You want King Andy out, then you need to vote Molinaro. It's that simple.

    I have a pair of Tubbs with the Boa system. They are aggressive for hiking, but that Boa system makes for such an easy on/off. I would imagine they sell less aggressive models that would suit your needs.

    That is awesome, B! I'll bet there are a lot of people you could inspire given that kind of platform! You never know whose life you can positively impact and all you have to do is be yourself. Man that's cool.

    Under ideal conditions, you can kill a deer with a .223 round, sure. However, hunting is filled with less than ideal opportunities. Do you have the discipline to wait on a perfect broadside heart shot at short range? You quoted some ballistics out of the muzzle, but not at distances or the resulting energy. It's also fair to say that a single .223 entry hole might not leave much of a blood trail for a hunter to track. For me, I want a humane harvest and the greater capabilities of the 6.8 SPC II (or any of the .30 cal type bullets) made more sense. YMMV.
