  1. Up and tired as hell. Not super motivated either. Pair of doe feeding in the yard I’m going to hope that’s a sign of good things to come. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Couldn’t ask for much more this morning except bigger deer. The deer I saw bed down got up about 10:45 and painfully slow made there way right towards me. About 35-40 yards out I could notice 2 where button bucks and the third was doe even smaller than them. I had one button under me and the other 2 at 10 yards and they never spooked. They finally left me alone when a wheeler came down the main path a few hundred yards away. Back at it tomorrow morning Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I just caught one of the does bed down about 80 ya yards up wind Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Perfect morning to oversleep and rush into the woods. By pure luck I made it into the stand and was settled just before sunrise. Around 8:10 I saw three tails and now I’ve had 2 doe SE of me at about 70 yards but between the cover and staring into the sun is really hard to follow them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I can't believe how slow this morning is. Almost make's me glad I'm at work. NOT !
  6. I'm new to muzzleloads as well. I got mine used and the breach plug hole was really plugged up. I soaked it in Traditions Foaming Bore Cleaner for 15-20 min and it cleaned up real easy with a paper towel and the end of a paperclip.
  7. Ha ha ha ha I just have to laugh at that situation because I was once there myself. My Lab found someone's or something's diarrhea while out pheasant hunting and rolled in it. Jowls, ear, collar, neck and shoulder all covered in it. I did not have a kennel for her to ride in as she would always sit on my passenger seat and leave me alone especially after a hard day of hunting. The only thing that saved me a little bit is we where hunting next to a marsh so I lost a T-shirt washing her off in the cold water. Still had to drive home with the windows down and give her a few proper baths when we got home. Good Times!
  8. Sounds promising. Good luck this will cap an awesome set of days in the woods for you.
  9. I don't know if you will ever be able to compare your last 3 days to anything ever again. Sounded like the most exciting 3 days in the woods without ever taking a deer.
  10. Ha! love the little white lie of "I found some blood come on over" Great job!
  11. Congratulations! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. You can't just toss a vague nugget out like this! For all we know you had a bloody nose this morning or a bloody...... never mind.
  13. No sent wafers but everything is washed in scent free detergent and I will spray with a cover scent before going into the woods. If things get wet or dirty then they are just put into the bed of the truck for the ride home, washed, dried and put back into the totes by the next day.
  14. I have 4 totes in the bed of my truck that everything is in. 99% of the time everything but the bow/gun stays in the bed of the truck for the season then at the end of the season everything comes inside gets washed if necessary and put back downstairs in the same totes.
  15. I’m with this guy! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Awe man I really feel for the kid that’s a tough life lesson at 12 years old. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. That’s awesome! What an experience Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. I have only seen one deer so far in all my sits in the woods. My trail cameras haven't been touched in 2.5 weeks because you need a boat to get to them right now. So I can't really say what's happening other than I am not seeing anything.
  19. I just commented to a hunting buddy that "It's a pretty good time of the year to get fired"
  20. No one needs to keep his spot warm @Lomax and I will be more than happy to run anything that he needs directly out to him at his stand free of charge. We have big money riding on his success!
  21. He’s zeroing on some good bucks and isn’t afraid to drop the hammer on a doe. That’s my kind of guy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
