Sounds like it wouldnt be a baaaaaaaad time. Whats the price? I might be in to shoot some mutton!
-
I hang mine from a gabrel in the garage, so rear legs up for me. When I gut, I reach in there and pull the esophogus/windpipe as far back as I can, and cut as far forward as I can, so the blood drains right out through the mouth and nose no problem.

Pretty tough to prove you were shooting at a deer as well. Shoot straight and kill the yote, then theres no argument lol. -

You are misreading that. It does not say you cant have the rifle, it does not say it cant be loaded, and it does not say you cant hunt coyotes (or orhter furbearers) at night during deer season. It says you cant hunt for anything with a rifle (larger than .22 rimfire) in counties that prohibit hunting for deer with a rifle. It doesnt say you cant hunt for coyotes at night with a rifle in a county where deer hunting with a rifle is permitted (during deer season). Read the regs correctly. -
If the cover is really thick, send the drivers in without guns. Cant shoot if you are on your hands and knees crawling through brush lol.

Thats how I ended up with my buck last year. My buddy and I talked about it and he entered the woods upwind, while I had been sitting for a few hours in a stand that sits in a trasition area between heavy cover and hardwwods and a field. Across the field from that stand is another section of heavy cover with open hardwoods beyond that and another section of heavy cover right before an open field. The buck was in the last described section of cover, and headed for the cover that was near where I was sitting. Just like Ive seen many deer do in that area before. He was walking calmly down a trail when I stopped him and shot him. We knew exactly what we were doing.

Not true. We do it every year, and watch deer loop around right behind us. Then Ive had situations where we have driven an area in the morning or early afternoon, and killed a deer out of a stand in that same area that evening.

I know what the law says about carrying guns, and what the hunting regs are concerning it. I hunt deer. I hunt coyotes and fox both day and night. I carry a handgun quite often. If I didnt know the laws concerning those things, Id honestly have no business doing any of it. If that makes me a "know it all", then so be it. Id rather know the rules than be a know nothing in the back of a police car. -

You are 100% wrong on this, sorry. Its a completely different deal than an officer finding someone with a loaded gun in their vehicle. With Coyote, Fox, Raccoon, and a few other seasons open where it is 100% legal to hunt at night, the officer would have to prove you of shot or tried to shoot a deer. Nevermind the FACT that it is not illegal to posess a loaded weapon at night. It is only illegal to kill a game animal out of season or outside of the regulations. -

He can give you a ticket, but it would have to be tossed in court if you hadnt shot a deer. It is NOT illegal to have a loaded gun before or after sunset on any day of the year, deer season incluided. -

If you shoot them before they have been bred, you are doing the same thing. Actually most does have already been bred within the first week of gun season, so any doe you shoot during gun season has probably been bred.... -
BTW, have you answered a single question Ive asked yet?
-
Where did you ever read me saying that? I do know where you are trying to go though, so pre-emtively, Ill just ask you to tell me where I ever said I have a problem with someone shooting any animal behind a fence.
