Nope, I just use a plane jane flat sharpening stone. Literally takes 30 seconds to resharpen each broadhead.

I know, but thats what Im saying, a registry for what almost always amount to victimless crimes? Thats going too far IMO. -
Congrats Grow! Glad you like the G5s, they are awesome broadheads, and get even better when you run them over a stone and pop them back on your arrow!

Comparing a trespasser to a rapist or miolester? Thats taking it a little far, dont you think? 99% of the time, the crimes are pretty much victimless, and they should be treated as such. Yes, I understand that someone trapsing through your property sucks and is a pain in the ass, but unless they are stealing or damaging things, they arent hurting you physically or financially. If they are caught stealing or damaging property, then additional charges should be held against them. -

I think it should be posted everywhere. I think the embarassment is a far better deterent than a $200 fine is. If they could add a points system, like drivers licenses, with suspension or revocation limits, then we might be getting somewhere in detering people from breaking the laws. -
Wonder how long before we see these used?

I am actually looking to buy one to dink around with. I like the one originally posted, but Id like to have one with a vertical cam. Not for finding deer, but I think it would come in handy for scouting. You could check out trails, bedding, etc without ever setting foot in the area. Might be useful when trying to recover a deer too. -

Where did I accuse you of anything? Bubba made it no easier for anyone, a Google search will find that site just as easy as looking on here. Why is it a good thing for my sake? You gonna come beat me up? -

Thanks guys. The last couple of years Ive had more fun taking new people out hunting, helping new/youth hunters and now the vets hunt, than I have ever had in the woods. -
adkbuck Whitetail Challenge thread
WNYBuckHunter replied to WNYBuckHunter's topic in 2014 HuntingNY Whitetail Challenge
The way I checked was to save the pic, open it in paint and use the straight line tool to see where the main beam was on the ruler. It wasnt by much, but it was under an inch. Its a 7 in my book too, just have to go by the rules that we put in place. -
You are correct. I was just referring to the tags. 1 on your regular season buck tag and 1 on your archery/ML tag. Whoever I was responding to was making it out like you could take 3.

It happens to all of us haha, Im guilty as well.

Just seen guys do that?

Hes a classy guy, what else is new
-
Classy as usual. You know its the truth, no matter who didnt call it in, its their fault, and thats what I meant. Not necessarilly you. I read just fine. Cell phones with cameras are a moden miracle, and back tags, following behind at a distance to get a glimpse of their vehicles, etc. No excuse, just keep complainging and doing nothing and see where it ever gets you.
-
Then its your own fault they got away with it. Again, lots of complaining with no getting the authorities involved. One trick to prove this sort of thing, is carry an object and put it in the deer's ear or mouth before you start gutting it. Then if someone tries to do such a thing, get the authorities involved and describe what object is in there and let them retrieve it.

Congrats! The first one is always a special one!

My season has been great so far. 3 deer in the freezer, passed a bunch of young bucks that will be bigger next year, passed on a mighty good 2 1/2 year old buck in the hopes he will make it, created great memories with friends and family, and had the honor of helping get a couple of wounded vets out in the field. Still have another weekend left too!

Comparing legal shooting time to driving the speed limit
WNYBuckHunter replied to regulat0r's topic in General Hunting
Your Tundra wont go over 65 anyway, so why worry about it? -
The scope is attached to the barrel, right? You might have headspace issues if it was a rifle configuration, but thats not an issue with a ML.
-
Yep, couldnt agree more.

That little wiggle causes no issues with accuracy, my Encore does the same thing. If you are concerned about it, you can get an oversized hinge pin from E Arthur Brown that will snug it up.
