    Give it a try, i love mine. Only knocks something like 1 fps off your bow. I didnt do it for any reason other than it helped me not have to think about my anchor points.

    Mind you I will only take him if its with archery tackle. Im just not to the point where Id pass him with a bow yet. Ill get there one of these days. With a gun, he gets a pass.

    virgil, this property is located in some of the very best deer country in NY. Tons and tons of ag, so theres alot of food and good minerals in the soils. If you can let them get a few years on them, they get big body wise, and produce alot of bone. The buck in my avatar was 4 1/2 when the pic was taken. Same general area. This guy is a 2 year old.

    For bow season I do face paint. I use a kisser as an anchor point, and it just doesnt work well with a mask. Ive stopped at the gas station on my way home before, and got some looks, but I dont care. Hunting isnt taboo where I live. It is a little bit cumbersome to wash off, but not a big pain really.

    He would be my best with a bow so far. I have upped my minimum rule for gun to 3 1/2 or older though.

    Witty, yes, they do that all the time. Its kinda tough to get into a couple of the stands without bumping deer.

    Probably. There were a few nice 2 year olds that made the cut last year. Just waiting for one to show up. The trail coming toward the right side of the picture leads right to one of the food plots we are working on. Its a great set now, and should be even better once the groceries are growing. I actually want to get another camera on this farm, but my other one is occupied. I need more cams lol.

If I see him during bow season, hes getting a carbon injection. Id pass him during gun though. I hope he doesnt come by during bow season, Id like to see him in another year or two. He posed for the cam for 10 minutes, giving me 50+ pics of him. Heres a few of the better ones. Hes taunting me in this one

    This buck seems to be a regular in this spot. Very nice 8 point 2 year old. I hope he makes it to next season.

    Sounds to me like your coop should start by going after the poacher issue first. Worry about the rest once thats resolved. To heck with just catching or yelling at them, call the DEC or Sheriff.

    I have a Troy-Bilt Generator powered by a 15hp Briggs. It is an 8000 watt constant/13500 watt peak. Generator is a few years old, but was never run until recently. It has 1 hour of run time on it to break it in and it works perfectly. Im looking for $800. I could deliver within a reasonable distance for the cost of gas.

    Went down last night and worked on the plots. Started running the york rake to help clean some stuff out, wasnt worth the time so we just walked the 2 new ones and picked up any big stuff. We sprayed all of them with Round Up and got some of the edges cleaned up a bit. Plot 2 got a bit of an expansion with lots of brush bushed out on the west side of it. Basically doubled the size. We should be breaking the ground in a week.

    Fall Grey is a great all around pattern, I also like Brown Deception. Green Deception is great for early bow season and spring turkey too.

    can we mix catapults with baiting? Just bait the deer into the catapult and launch it right into the freezer.

    Yeah you misunderstood. Perhaps I said it wrong. In any case he was advocating taking long practice shots. I found the statement that the newer bows pretty much shoot themselves as the interesting part. He also said right after that, you just need to know where to place the pin.
