You should not be blowing dust in or out of a computer while its turned on. It can create static electricity, and you will end up damaging your fan bearings or brushes. Pretty simple to just turn it off first.

Exactly WesternNY, I dont want to take too much of the fun out of it at this point. Ive been gun hunting alot longer than Ive been bow hunting, so Im game for the added challenge there. This is going to be my first year with the 3 1/2 rule for gun, so passing 2 1/2s is going to be an interesting proposition for me lol.

Yep, would still be the best deer with my bow. I would also like to see a 1 buck rule go into place, but thats not going to change where Im at in my hunting career.

I start mine in September, around labor day and keep it till spring. I dont want the tan lines during the summer. I keep it neat for the most part because of work. Heres my deer beard a couple of years ago, it was a little thinner than normal cuz I messed part of it up haha.

I dragged one behind an ATV once. It will be the last time that ever happens. Destroyed the hide in a couple of spots, one of which came close to wearing through to the point I cut the meat around the area out and tossed it.

I can remember every single kill. Weapon doesnt matter to me. I have a bit of a photographic memory, so that might have something to do with it. I get the shakes with every encounter with a deer that I intend to kill. If that ever stops, I quit.

Ive shot Rage in the past, and its not just them. All broadheads make a little more noise than an arrow just with a field tip. Think about it, more surface area, more air friction, more noise, though it doesnt matter because its so slight. Deer are not reacting to the sound of the arrow IMO, its more the sound of the bow.Its not that complicated, sound travels much faster than an arrow. At very short distances, the time between the sound and arrow is so short, their reaction isnt fast enough. At medium distances, they hear the bow and their reaction might be quick enough to move out of the way. At longer distances, the sound of the bow isnt loud enough to make them react unless they are already spooked. The more quiet the bow, the less reaction. I would actually like to see some kind of experiment or stats on deer reactions at different distances with a quiet vertical bow vs a crossbow that shoots the same speed. That would tell the tale.

I set my goals somewhat based on what Ive taken in the past. Originally I set an 8 point or better standard upon myself. I achieved that with the shotgun first. I added a close to the outside of the ears goal for guns. I achieved that with the muzzle loader, so I upped my goal to age. With my bow, I have yet to achieve the 8 point standard. I have actually only taken one buck with my bow, a 6 point mercy kill. Once I hat that 8 point achievement with my bow, Ill be in 3 1/2 or better mode for the foreseeable future of my hunting career. Setting the bar higher than that is not very realistic since I dont have enough control over any property. If you can take 3 1/2s along side the brown its down crowd I have to deal with, youre doing very well.

You can get a cart for less than $100 if you keep an eye out.

Ive used mine. Has the big wheels on it. Works great! You can even rig it up behind an ATV if you dont pull it too fast.
