Jackoffs. Im not one for tucking in the tounge or wiping blood off of the animal before snapping a pic, but that video is just crass and uncalled for.

do you hunt with handgun?
WNYBuckHunter replied to JGaruti3's topic in Guns and Rifles and Discussions
I had a friend who had one of those. Except it was chambered in 270. He let a friend of his shoot it one time, and he put the gun right up to his face to look through the scope. Before my friend could stop him he pulled the trigger and just about nocked himself out, and split his forhead open. I guess it took a few stiches to close it all up to. That's what I call a serious eye relief issue! Thats why you use a long eye relief scope lol. Mine would do the same thing to you if you got too close to it and pulled the trigger. Little sucker tries to jump right out of your hand lol. -
You can get a refillable pod and use whatever coffee you want in it.

I think the City of Rochester has such a law..not positive but I believe so Im not sure, I dont live in the city, never would, so I have never read that part of them. I only know what pertains to where/how I can carry in the city. -

Oh come on, the discussion has taken some turns and is no longer about just this case. Ill be watching the case though. I doubt the father will get convicted as long as there are no laws or ordinances in his area about leaving a gun unlocked. Notice that his wasnt loaded and it sounds like the clip was in another location, so the gun was not even loaded. As far as the list of states, thanks. Where does one draw the line with ""reach or easy access" of a minor" though? And it looks like in the Wilton, NY case, the father didnt leave the gun laying around loaded, so he woud have been within the limits of the laws that you listed. -

Thanks for the straight to the point answer. Again, my condolences. -
Not one of those deer is a booner. What is referred to as a booner is a buck that qualifies for the Boone & Crocket club record books, and much reach 170 inches minimum. Those are nice deer though.

Hmmm, at the Henrietta store it said rifle ammo, and by the slugs it said Remington slugs.

Im sorry for your loss. If your son had locked his gun up, do you think it may have prevented him from taking his life? I sincerely apologize if the question offends you, thats not what Im trying to do. -

If someone does something with my gun, and I had nothing to do with it other than owning the gun, I am not in any trouble. Of course they would look into it, but someone asking me questions doesnt equate to being in trouble. There is no law against me owning my guns or keeping them in my house or even having a loaded clip in them. There is also no law saying I have to keep them under lock and key. Id like to know in which states I would be breaking the law by having an unlocked firearm in my home. Also Id like to see the results of the civil lawsuits for a case where someone left a gun in their home unlocked. Please, let me know. -
That was for the rifle ammo right? I didnt see a sign for the Hornady slugs.

How does a kid committing suicide with your gun put you in any trouble? Granted, it may make you feel bad, but the simple fact is that unless you put someone bent on killing themselves in a padded rubber room with a straight jacket on, they will find a way to do it. An assumption based on partial fact is still an assumption. -
We didnt get much snow, but man was it cold and windy last night. I went out predator hunting last night and I think my face just finished thawing out. ???

Werent you talking about someone else assuming earlier in the thread? This quote sounds like a whole lot of assumption on your part. -

Im sorry for whomevers loss in those two incidents, but to cite such a thing as someone committing suicide as a reason to keep a gun under lock and key is ludicrous. If someone is intent on committing suicide, they are going to get the job done or make a serious attempt at it no matter how many locks you have on your guns. They will just do it another way. To lay blame on anyone for not locking their guns as the cause of those two kids killing themselves is completely out of line. -
Im the same way with mine. What meat I make burgers with, I cut in some boneless chuck roast, and with sausage I cut in some boneless center cut pork loin. It just helps to hold things together and keep them from drying out too easily. I also keep ground venison on its own for meatloaf, tacos, etc.

I do a similar recipe, but I use watered down BBQ sauce instead of the soup mix. I usually use a roast for this, not backstrap. I have a 4lb roast in the freezer as we speak waiting to be done.

anybody got a good recipe for cooking a deer heart??
WNYBuckHunter replied to bigfoot's topic in Game Recipes / Cooking
I tried it for the first time is year, just cut it up into thin slices and fried with butter and onions in a pan. It was delicious and I cant wait to get another deer next year so I can have some more! -
Thats awesome. Happy Birthday.

The only (knock on wood) deer that I ever just plain stuffed with my car was on 65 right by the park. I had an 84 Caddy Sedan De'Ville at the time, hit a good size doe at 50, never had time to hit the brakes. I hardly felt it, but I drove right through the cloud of hair. She got wedged into the grill area and didnt come out until I stopped. Still only $700 damage to the car as I could still fix that one in my driveway pretty easy. 90% of the newer cars would have been a total loss with a hit like that one.
