  1. Beans are coming out around here now as well.
  2. HAHAHA, I went there Friday and walked out with more than I intended to lol
  3. I have a vice that I bought at Harbor freight, its a 6 inch and its pretty darn nice. Cost $59 or $69 if I remember right. A good grinder is always helpful.
  4. he would score probably in the ridiculous range. Seriously though, close to 200 if not more gross. Not much spread, but lots of mass. Just a guess though.
  5. Yeah I guess it would be tough to get it right. They are neat though. Ive seen some videos of them used on helmets of dirt bikes and 4 wheelers, etc that were pretty cool.
  6. Never said I didnt ever miss a deer, or have to make a second shot on one, or shoot one that was on the ground but not dead. I just only ever wounded one once without recovering it.
  7. Here he is. Imagine seeing this walking through the woods! ???
  8. I have a couple of good ones of "Jake" Ill get them on here soon
  9. The rope I got is rated to over 300, should be fine.
  10. The guys that brought the one buck are from Rush, you can go visit the farm. http://www.primewhitetails.com/
  11. Those two bucks were insane. The jerky guy wasnt even there. Im still bummed about it. Ive gone almost every year since I was a kid.
  12. Its a knot lol, a fairly simple one too. I trust my knot more than I trust the one some Chineese kid tied while he made 10 cents a day. BTW, I was wrong, the HSS line is $49 http://www.dickssportinggoods.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3177966&cp=2367438.2367824.2292572.2292573
  13. Let me clarify my numbers, I did not include deer that were recovered by others instead of myself for whatever reason.
  14. I went today, and I have to say, what a disappointment this year. There was far less than half of the normal vendors and spots taken up. From talking to a few of them it seems that the DEC has gotten pretty pricey on their spots the last 2 years. Way to go NYDEC, kill another good thing in the name of money. A couple more years like this and people wont bother showing up.
  15. Yeah its not the cheapest thing in the world, but its not that bad either. Less money than stainless steel lol.
  16. I just got done watching the episode. What a great one. Really gets you to thinking about things. I can only imagine what some guys thought of it. It touched on almost every "hot topic" in hunting.
  17. Have you tried clipping it on the brim of your hat?
  18. Ill be posting stuff in it. I did it last year on AT once or twice.
  19. Then who in the heck is it that's shooting all these 1.5 bucks that everyone is worrying about? It seems to me that there is likely to be no need for AR, if so many are already sold on the idea of letting them walk. I have not yet figured out these claims about how wildly popular AR is, and yet the harvest percentages of 1.5 yr old deer never seems to change. You can't have it both ways. Which is it? is it a popular concept or not? Doc Doc, he never said that those hunters didnt shoot 1.5s, he said their ideal buck is not a 1.5 year old, you can only shoot what is available to you.
  20. Wounded and not recovered? In almost 20 years of gun and 6 years of bow... Gun hunting, 0 Bow hunting, 1 (non fatal shot)
  21. One of my favorites! "Suntan lotion is good for me, you protect me, tee hee hee!"
  22. This topic has been moved to Hunting Related Pictures. [iurl]http://huntingny.com/forums/index.php?topic=1478.0[/iurl]
  23. I quit just over a year ago. I dont remember the exact date, but it was sometime in August of last year. I used the patch for 5 or 6 weeks and then quit wearing them. I had smoked for around 16 years before that. It was my 8th time trying to quit.
