  1. The external packs work good. I adapted my older IR4 to work with them.
  2. Youre a little late to the party lol That happened over a month ago and became law after 10 days. The governor didnt need to sign it.
  3. The link works, just click on the big purple words.
  4. Lets see, I have a bunch of supressors on my bow. It came with pocket silencers and limb supressors. I added string leaches, an Eastman Carbon Stabilizer that uses carbon rods and supressors, and a Bow Rattler. I dont know what those guys mean about the Rattlers being pricey, mine was $20 brand new. My bow is extremely quiet. Almost every time someone is near me at the range they comment on how quiet my bow is. BTW John, grab a Bow Rattler, they are great.
  5. Here are my arrows, they arent 100% perfect but they will do. I have a bit of OCD, so I may redo a couple of them. I want to shoot them and see what happens with the wraps first though. I am a little concerned that they might peel, but most people have told me they shouldnt.
  6. Thanks for the idea! Im gonna be rich!
  7. I got the fletches on today, Ill take a pic later.
  8. When I put my ladder stands up, I dont bother with ratchet straps on the ladder, most of them come with 2 very long straps that attach to the sides of the top, where it rests against the tree. Take these (once the stand is propped agains the tree), cross them around the back of the tree and then tie each one to the uprights on the ladder, about 4 steps up. As long as they are tight, they will hold the stand to the tree good enough to take the ratchet straps up and attach the top of the stand to the tree with them.
  9. I try to donate a deer a year if I shoot more than 2. I have done it a bunch of times, you just drop the deer off at a participating processor.
  10. Or you can just go with these... http://www.aronedesign.com/breathtaker/buyNow.html ;D
  11. Yeah the Firenoks are pricey, theres usually a guy on AT that gets you good deals on them but I found someone that can get me Lumenoks for less than $10 each shipped, so Ill just go with those. Fantail, I havent had any experience with them yet, this is my first set. I have heard very good things though. We will see.
  12. Yep, all I have to do is wait till dark and get out the flashlight and the wraps will reflect the light and show up easilly, even if the lighted noks turn off. The wraps also make refletching alot easier since you dont have glue residue to scrape off of the shaft, just peel the wrap and fletches right off, and use adhesive remover to get rid of the wrap adhesive left on the shaft.
  13. The CX Tracers dont have replaceable batteries, the ones that have replaceable batts are called Firenoks.
  14. Yeah I found the same wording you posted on the NY Senate site. I wonder why the DEC didnt put out a release? Maybe they are just waiting until next year.
  15. Nice. His rack didnt need to grow any, its big already!
  16. I have also had no luck rattling yet.
  17. Thanks guys. The arrows are 350s and they shoot great out of my bow, which is around 300 fps, probably just under. I love the flames, its a design I came up with and had the guy make. The name of his business is Pathfinder Arrow Wraps and he can make whatever you want. He does wraps for other things too, like limbs, stabilizers, etc. I have had great luck with the lighted nocks, so far the CX Tracers have been the best. Theres a guy that makes really nice ones where you can replace the battery if it dies and you can choose from many colors. I might try those. Ill throw some pics up when I get the fletches on tonight. After that Im going to start on my little modification project for my climber. Im just trying to pass the time till my bow string gets here lol.
  18. This year I decided to strip my perfectly good Blazers off of my CX shafts and redo them. I ordered some custom wraps from a guy on AT, and some new Blazers. I am also going to get some more Lumenocks so all of my arrows have them. Tonight I sat down and put the wraps on, but didnt have the time to start with the vanes. Ill get to those tomorrow. As you can see in the last pic, the wraps are reflective so they will be easy to find if they end up in the bushes out back (it happens lol).
  19. Well, I guess the other site I saw was wrong, after 10 days its law, so that means crossbows are legal come next year. The bill passed the senate and assembly over a month ago and it was never veto'ed.
  20. You sure? I looked it up and it said it had to be signed or it had to go back through the assembly and senate and get a 2/3rds to become law. Hmmmm...
  21. What it says in the current guide is the same as its always been. The new bill doesnt go into effect until next season (2011-2012). The governor doesnt need to sign it, if he does not, it will go back to the state senate and they pass it again to become law.
