  1. One day my presentation will be better. Elk sirloin (from my brothers CO elk) made with sous vide at 129 for two and a half hours finished in a hot cast iron.
  2. Congratulations! Damn kicker got me with that long FG.
  3. Good luck today Paul. Had fun again this year, glad we do this. Hopefully it's a close matchup today 200-199.
  4. Mine was 3.5 pretty happy about that in Orange County.
  5. Definitely checked to make sure they couldn't be picked up. Figured shenanigans were involved.
  6. That's some really cool stuff Biz. Same for Airedale fun thread to follow.
  7. Lots of covid stuff messing with everyone. Selfishly hoping for a Cory Cory final. Either way I could say Cory won!
  8. Yeah makes since I do the same. I try and spray a week before planting, if I don't get all the stuff I want dead, I spray again a week later. And plant that day. Good luck! For me seeing the amount of deer increase and watch a plan come into place food plots are almost as fun as the actual hunting part.
  9. Wasting money with roundup. Tractor supply sells 41% glysophate which is the same product for much less. Tried to copy the link but it didn't work. Make sure everything you want to kill is actively growing. Don't spray to early.
  10. Your presentation is always so much better then mine. Food looks amazing!
  11. Well my wife has covid, she is vaxxed as her job requires. She is a special education principal so we kinda new she would get it at some point. So far she is fine but we had to cancel numerous plans along with family and friends staying at our house. For me I'm cool with it, life is life make lemonade out of lemons but wife is sad to miss people around Christmas. I'm not vaxxed feeling good so far also tested negative. Tried to convince my wife I needed to stay at a hotel near a local gentleman club but she said I might catch a worse disease. So here I sit waiting for my wife to get me sick. I have a big meeting tomorrow biggest in my life, so not sure how to handle it but I really could care less lol
  12. Went to the extra freezer yesterday and realized I have a couple more packs of lamb shank. Always comes out tender as can be.
  13. Very interesting Paula! I've never cooked or had such a meal but would be very open to it.
  14. For me clover is a must. Fawns and doe use it early, great tonnage also a great bow season hunting plot. You can frost seed it then add wheat, oats or rye in September for hunting purposes.
  15. I use to play hockey for West Point. Every year we had to work concessions at Mikey stadium. All the armed forces games are fun but army/navy is king and that's coming from an Air Force guy. My old man is retired army and knew Colon Powell. Spoke to him today about General Powell, he cried remembering him. So at least for tomorrow GO ARMY beat navy. Below is my father and I at General Ebisons house in Alaska, my dad was a generals aid at the time. General Powell came buy to visit a month or so later but I'll save those pictures for the next NY hunting forum meeting.
  16. This deer I'm sure was one of the garden violators over the summer. I turned the tables during bow season. Tasted amazing with a little horseradish wasabi sauce.
  17. Nice to see some late season gun bucks from forum members.
  18. Three of the last six bucks I've shot have been in high winds. Up north its been slow, the last three weeks in 3m most guys I know are seeing it pick up.
  19. Rub is fresh made last night tracks are fresh no deer seen this a.m. headed back out soon. My buddy is on the backside of my property, I might try and go into a bedding area if I find good sign. Six inches of fresh snow on the last hunting day up here was give and take. Can't see much at all but can see where the deer are going.
  20. Oak and Reed middletown-ny. Checked out a new spot and damn it was good. We started with an octopus cous cous salad which was to die for (octopus was served hot). I had fried chicken mashed potatoes and collard greens with maple syrup. Wife had Bolognese that she loved. Even the drinks were creative and amazing! I had a couple pineapple saki margaritas with habenero simple. Small world pretty sure I coached the owner/chefs high school hockey team many years ago.
