Don't know how I missed this but these plots are in Remsen! What a small world. I'm about 5 minutes from Hinkley reservoir

Picture with the bear is the same plot as my original post. Beets and greens WTI, two problems, I overseeded and the deer have been eating it the last month. Everyday there is a doe with two fawns that are bulking up. Put some rye in there and fertilized today. It is still a draw but disappointing. Second is big and beasty seeded property and planted in early August as suggested by Phade and others. It is looking pretty good hopefully the urea from today gives it a nice boost. I'm going to refrain from putting rye in there. Third is red clover that has exceeded expectations and is getting hammered right now. I'm going to top it with a little rye and hope for the best. All no till some better then others.

I've been asking myself the same thing. Recurve or rifle? Rifle would be public land recurve right out back. Work will probably dictate what happens. Hope to put one in the fridge and go from there.

I just picked up a 100 pounds of rye today, I haven't found wheat the last couple years. Anyways I'm going to play the rain game and head upstate MONDAY or Tuesday depending on weather. 160 pounds of urea for my brassica plots, seed the rye and my food plots are also done for the year. One of the brassica plots has been getting munched on for the last month so between that and overseeding it I don't have high hopes but it is still a draw. This is my first 100% no till year and I'm pretty happy overall. Diversity hopefully will pay off.

Did some banana peppers with a few Hungarian peppers to add some heat today.

Draft room opens 30 minutes before draft time so for anyone who hasn't done this before (crappy) can get in early if needed.

Completely understand people not liking the early doe season but for a guy like me in 3m, I can take a doe real early to fill the freezer, then be real selective if I choose the rest of the year. I was selective last year waiting on a buck and ate tag soup for the first time in a decade.

He was my keeper in a league that did a 4pm draft yesterday. Finished the draft, thirty minutes later my keeper is out for the year lol.

Pretty wild to wake up to a phone call saying get your ass to work. My buddy was the FCC (flying crew chief), he ruptured his spline and had a back injury that got him discharged. The elderly couple taking a hop didn't even realize the plane crashed until the T-tail broke off and they could see out the back of the jet (c5 passenger seats face backwards),they thought it was just turbulence. We listened to the black box recording, pilot had no clue what was going on, engineer shit his pants 10 seconds before the crash, he was scared to correct the pilot almost cost him his life.

I always defer to Gman but I wouldn't disk, your going to bring up weed seeds (I know from experience). I would spray then broadcast right before a rain. The glysophate only will kill growing plants, won't mess with your seeds.
