    Might as well freeze the thread after diplomats photos but I'll post anyways. Tenderloins from the buck I shot last Sunday. Used my sous vide then finished them in my cast iron. Had some mushrooms and onions I cooked down on the side.

    No problem with neck shots but for me I'm shooting as I've been taught unless I don't have that option. On a side note if you choose to hunt 3m for a doe pm me and I will put you on deer if you don't already have a spot. Good luck and a very good topic.

    Been there Moho. One of those things were when you find the deer you say damn but your still happy to harvest it. Congratulations on your deer

    Deep fried and damn good. Did another one in the oven. 24 brine for turkeys, sides were good, gravy was great. Been up a long time lol, black Friday is always a blast to work here it comes...........

    Didn't want to mess my buddy up so I sat till dark. Saw 10ish more deer one mature buck, two smaller. Walking out I could smell the other bucks I had previously seen. Could have and should have plugged a doe but was worried about messing up my buddy. Feels weird only having a crossbow tag left. Today definitely made up for sitting yesterday out. Congratulations to all who connected today!

    Big body 8 point I grunted in at about 3:30. Sat behind a rock wall for about 45 minutes. Quick efficient hunt for once lol. Hopefully my buddy doubles up.

    Sat today out for numerous reasons but my real opener is the northern zone. I'll be out all day tomorrow. Big congratulations to everyone who had one or in some cases numerous harvests. Really nice to see lots of kids involved in these hunts.

    Still going! Lots of carrots to pick still and one more brussel sprouts plant to pick. I'm a little worried my garlic has already sprouted, my buddy has the same problem and I even waited till late October till I planted them.

    Great topic. For me every sit is different, I use different climbers different ways depending on the setup. Usually I sit 16 to 22 feet but in certain spots I go way up and it pays off. For rifle at my cabin 30 feet is necessary but rifle on stateland 18 feet is fine. For bow 16 to 20 feet works

    Always hunt this oak flat a couple times during rifle but it's stateland and it was a zoo last year. But during bow I have 500 acres to myself. I always find rubs and scrapes but not this year so far.

    Are you hunting state or private land? I'm in the Hudson Valley and there are plenty of doe but on stateland it's a hell of a drag. PM me and maybe I can help you

    The arrow I killed a deer with last week had same exact blood, so yeah I vote liver.

    Bumped a deer on the way out and that was it for me. Weatherman lied no snow at my cabin. Pretty sure this guy is marking up the place pretty good. Found three very fresh rubs within 50 yards of my cabin go figure. I'm doing it all wrong, gotta ditch the climber and hunt from the loft. The picture is from four days ago at midnight. Found a snapped large sapling right by where the photo was taken. Just a little four point but look at that background freaking beautiful up here.

    Saw this got excited and checked the forecast at my cabin. Yup 2-4 inches overnight. I'm headed up tomorrow and should be up a tree from 1till dark. All day sit planned for Thursday with Temps in the 30s all day. First week of November has been good to me in the Dacks, hoping for a little luck.

    Found the deer, well 7/8 of it.

    Shot a doe at about 545 pm at about 5 yards with my Kodiak recurve. Thought I saw her lay down (I have horrible eyesight) but she didn't. Very light blood I hit her just a tad back but I believe she is dead. Have a buddy coming by early morning and we will go find her. At about 615 a large deer came storming through at about 60 yards. Not sure if it was a buck but holy cow was it a large body.
