Getting there. No luck with ghost peppers yet.
-
Headed up tomorrow morning, I screwed up my back pretty good and spent most of the week in bed but I plan on getting as much done as possible. Beets and greens into an existing clover plot, check to see how the corn is coming along and having my dad cut down some trees on the new plot for some edge cover. Exciting time of year. Planned on tilling the new plot I sprayed but don't think that will happen.

I would wait till last week of August or early September for that wheat and rye.

I spread 3000 pounds by hand. Only tools I had was an atv and cart to drop off the bags of lime in the plot. Lowes sells 50 pound bags for 3.29 i believe. After cost of delivery if I would have had it delivered and spread I spent almost the same amount. Check the local Co-Op they would be the best source of information. I don't believe there are any great local choices for you except for Orange County. Tilcon in Goshen is all I can think of. I had the same issue with figuring out the best way to spread lime and decided unless I needed more then 6/7000 pounds i would just do it by hand. Sounds like you have a couple guys to help you out at least. All I had was my wife laughing at me when I looked like a ghost at the end. Either way good luck!

El Bandido?

Well looky there smart man.

My only guess is small bear but looks nothing like any bear I've ever had on cam. This is in Oneida County if that helps at all.

I'm more interested in more qualified hunters opinions but I'll take a shot at this. I would hang a treestand on J there seems to be a couple different ways to access and I like how to the east that finger sticks out. Would only hunt it when winds are low. Tower blind C, numerous shooting lanes and with wind from NW there would be minimal problems. The south facing slope at the 2 o'clock position would be a nice spot on a cold day for a buck to bed. Seems like plenty of cover walking the wood line to the south for access in and out. Ground Blind H, looks to me to be a travel corridor, three or four slight ridges to the south would help deflect that NW wind access might be a little issue. i'm not a ground blind person so my input isn't worth a crap when it comes to this.

Awesome pictures!

I use to eat these in Spain. A little gamey but in a good way, not as heavy as a regular burger.

I already sprayed a new plot site. Headed up Sunday to camp and will spend a few days expanding the new plot and respraying if necessary. Will disk it if everything is already dead. Low ph and I only was able to spray liquid lime so I may go straight rye or wheat to build soil fertility. Some pellet lime will be added but that won't help me out till next year. Do you guys have luck overseeing your clover plots with radish?

To Canada where you live? No the tariff on poblano peppers would put me out of business. A little trick to make the consistency of the stuffing good is a couple ounces of beer and a little lime juice. Beer and lime juice make everything better.

Some damn good pictures on this page, I'll try and contribute. Pablano peppers with shrimp, sausage, bacon, cream cheese, cheddar cheese and shallots.

That's is a pretty tough comment to read. That being said five years ago I would have said the same thing. I never would have thought I would have lost somebody close to me because of my military upbringing as well as having numerous law enforcement surrounding myself and family my whole life. That being said I know a special unit dective, a fire fighter and numerous retired military personal that have lost son's or daughters to this addiction. My best friend with a PHD does research for the Rockefeller Institute and I myself see people addicted to this drug everyday because of my line of work. Your statement is ignorant but I completely understand why you would say what you have said. Saying only stupid people try herion shows you haven't got off the starting blocks to understand the chemical addiction that happens. I carry narcan everyday and hope I never have to use it, I also sincerely hope you never experience a loved one or family go through something like this.

So camp was great I fixed my atv ignition (shockingly), which allowed me to get a bunch done but while checking my new clover plot which I seeded a much ago, I found more then I expected. Any idea what this is anyone? Im thinking about starting over and tilling the plot. I will pull the thistle with a shovel it's only a half acre plot but I dont know what this plant is and if I should keep it or kill it off.
