  1. What is c list Zag ? Kidding ! I am not interested in the 1 property in Birdsall and theres nothing in Naples currently that I see on there. 228 days away until opening day, time to secure a place and set up so the family can join me up there !
  2. I have seen the last couple episodes, pretty cool show. Makes me wonder how long I could elude the trackers, I don't think they would ever find me at my favorite hunting spot. I have camped out there many times, I would just need more rations.
  3. That is pretty remarkable Four Season's , I can't wait to get down there and explore- the craziness of the water is only getting me pumped up for this up coming season. That is my ultimate goal, is to find a pocket down there not many people can make it to and get the chance to see some very mature bucks and hopefully get the chance to harvest one !
  4. WOW, I see what you guys are saying about the steep hill sides to get down to the river bottom. Are those tree tops down in the river bed normally an area that can be hunted when not flooded ? Hope that camera made it Genesee Mohican !
  5. Thank you very much for the intel Gentleman ! I look forward to hitting the woods in a couple of months
  6. That gets me extremely excited Four Seasons, I hope many mature bucks made it this season in the park. Hopefully by the park lifting the antler restriction this season does not mess it up to much next year. That is to bad, I was looking forward to seeing some of your guys gun season harvests on here. Thanks for the update Four Seasons, I can't wait to get out there this spring and see if I can manage my way down to the bottom. Just curious is there a safer side or recommended side to get down, East or West Side ?
  7. This has been a very fun thread to read this year, I am sincerely looking forward to exploring the park this year and try to find a spot in the river bottom this year to do some archery hunting. I personally have never seen much more then 100" rack in the 16 years I've been deer hunting. From the sounds of it Letchworth may give me that opportunity to see some impressive racks next year. I plan on only hunting bow in the park next year, but was just curious if any one had any photos of harvested bucks during shotgun season in the park ? I know Four Seasons doesn't like to share photos- but its a new year, maybe you can show some !! lol Or any harvested deer pics from the park this year would be an honor to see !
  8. Unreal that is only a 3 1/2 year old buck. I was told from a reputable source that the rack is in a bank vault for safe keeping, which I though was pretty cool. ALSO, they have a substantially larger buck on there trail cameras that made it though the 2016 season. Will be interesting to see what the larger bucks status is next year. What an amazing hunting lease !
  9. Wow, great history ! I wish you the best of luck next year with him, I hope to see a photo of him on here next year- he is going to be a stud !!!
  10. Very cool, looks consistent in the spotting pattern a piebald deer has. Congrats !
  11. LOL Never seen one before, I sure would get a laugh if I walked up to one of those in a tree though ! For someone with a bad neck I sure could appreciate the concept though !
  12. WOW- What a beauty ! I hunt in Birdsall, I didn't see a single deer all bow season, many all day sits even. I tagged out with a 6 pointer opening day, 5 minutes of light left roughly and was the second deer I seen all day. My brother got a nice 8 about 300 yards away from me. I will be out during Muzzle loader, can't wait to get back out there. Glad to hear you guys had a good year out there. I agree with you Jeremy K- Also the hardest area I have ever hunted. Any one been out there this week ?
  13. NICE ! Good for her, seems like they hit the Jackpot on there new property ! Did they harvest any bears or no interest in that ? I have actually met a couple locals out there that have seen Bears and never shot them on Gillies Hill, a couple minutes from the INN. They seem to see them some what regularly and just think its to much work. The property directly behind the bar had a bear up there so much last year the DEC gave him permission to shoot the bear during the summer, due to him eating his gardens. The owner ended up shooting the bear with rubber bullets a couple different occasions, until he got the hint. I am definately in search on my first Bear,I always offer to help with the Bear population on there property. But have had no takes yet lol
  14. Since tagging out opening day, I am counting the days to get out with Muzzle loader.
  15. Nope- I pulled my cameras the last day of archery !
  16. That is pretty cool LET EM GROW, I have been up there for 16 years - the Bear population is definitely increasing up there. Out of the 8 of us at our camp 2 of us seen one about 5 years ago, no sighting's in person since then. But I did have about half a dozen on camera this year, the most I have ever had. I had the same one on camera about 6 times, so I think a den may be close by. But have never personally seen it.
  17. Good luck ! Worst case he gets another year to get even bigger !
  18. Thank you Nick- just a little out of my desired area, sure sounds like you have a wonderful property. Thanks for the response ! Hunter- I looked up the 13 acres, not where I am looking either, thanks for the heads up. Any other leads I would appreciate, I really would like to have a place secured before summer 2017. Thanks !
  19. Nice buck Jim Droz- looks like your buck walked by my Birdsall trail cam, or one of his 3rd cousins ! How did your friend make out in Birdsall this season LET EM GROW ? That sounds like a nice size property ! Gotta love the INN !
  20. Cool to know there are other fellow 9P enthusiast's on here ! I noticed a lot less hunters and shots out this opening weekend, I think tomorrow will be a good day (with the expected snow, and the number of drives going on to get deer on there feet). I hunt one town over from Swain, I tagged out opening day. Looking forward to getting back out there with the Muzzle loader, good luck out there !
