  1. Been there many times. We usually don't fish above the bridge. Buddies camp is about a mile below the bridge. His camp has 63 steps from the deck to the water. Do you fish the LCI father's day derby?
  2. Where about on champion do you go. Buddy of mine has a camp in crown point. Usual hit that a few times.
  3. East of Albany. I'm not stuck on the concept, it's a fact. You care to think it doesn't matter, that's fine.
  4. Agreed. I got $1500 less than I PD for my F350. Had it for 2.5 years and 37,000 miles. It's crazy what they are giving for used trucks. It's listed on there website for $4k more than the sticker.
  5. I just traded in my 2019 f350. They practically climbed up the tailpipe looking for anything. Bed was pristine, except the POS bullet liner had several tears and peeling. They tried to take $500 off the trade, but my truck was so desirable, I held firm.
  6. Guaranteed you got less of a trade in because of it. Dealer might not have acted like it didn't matter, but it definitely mattered on what he offered you.
  7. So not true. A clean damage free bed will get you more money on trade then a scraped/scratched up bed.
  8. I've had rhino, linex, and bullet liners. LineX and rhino are about equal IMO. Bullet liner sucks. Mine pealed off easily on my 2019 Ford. Absolutely junk. My new Chevy has a factory spray in liner. Only had it for a couple weeks, so can't comment on how it holds up just yet.
  9. Never been to Simcoe. Used to rent shanty's on lake Champlain yrs ago, but they were day long rentals. Was just giving you options if you couldn't find overnight rentals.
  10. How about a hotel instead of sleeping in a shanty? Might be a little more comfortable for the kids. Not the same experience, but I'm old and I'm into comfort, lol.
  11. Just picked up a 21 lb 7 bone from ShopRite for $4.79 lb. Going on the smoker for a New year's eve party.

    Age this doe?

Either way she won't get any older..
  13. My CP Xbow is rated for 425. Ya I realize it's not going to achieve those numbers. But it did abide by the 17" TTP(tip to tip) rule. At 40 yrds, I can't follow the arrow to the target it's that fast, even with lighted nocks.
  14. We're the same. When I was in my 20's, I'd disagree with you. But now quality beef is preferred. I see myself in my grand nephew's/niece. They can consume a entire deer in a month. It's what I did back in the day. But as I've gotten older, I realize I like other meats as much if not better than venison. A slow smoked beef brisket/beef ribs, is on the top of my list as far as flavor. Venision backstrap is my second.
  15. Who here do you think is reliant on those scoundrels for protein? This thread had nothing to do with one being able to provide food for the family through hunting, fishing or foraging. Just a hunk of meat I took a picture of that was a tad expensive.
  16. I really hope you mean rub them down...
  17. Ok then. I guess I'll never taste waygu beef. Lol.
  18. Crazy marbling. You would almost think it would taste too fatty. What's something like that cost per lb?
  19. This is still available. 5 min from me. Did someone of the landscaping on the property 10 years ago. Ok. That link didn't work.. couldn't figure out how to get the link.. so a screen shot will have to do.
  20. Look at that marbling. Absolutely beautiful.
  21. Yes, he basically signed up for this season when he picked up his beef last yr. He usually has 3 butchered every yr. Staggers them a couple months apart. If I remember correctly, the shop he uses isn't taking any new clients at this time. Repeat customers only.
  22. Same here. Good friend of mine raises beef. I usually buy it off of him, except for whole brisket. I usually cook 8-10 a yr and he can't supply that many of them.
  23. Very true, but I've had many of the select cuts of prime rib and never had a tuff one. However the flavor of the prime is much better.
  24. ShopRite has them for $4.99# this Friday and Saturday with the coupon.
