  1. Sometimes I swear I can feel the house move, lol Had a 28 mph gusts a few minutes ago. Supposed to get worse.
  2. Not at all. Just hate it when someone who knows absolutely squat about a subject, spouts off like there a expert, and keeps going when they have been proven wrong multiple times.
  3. Wind is just starting to ramp up here. Hopefully the power won't go out. Hope yours gets restored soon.
  4. I've killed most of my deer with coreloks. Recoverd dozens of slugs over the yrs that had great retention. Most of the boxes are probably 10+ yrs old, so can't comment on the newer stuff.
  5. Sounds like your a tad sensitive about being called out about not knowing squat about rifle calibers and ballistics.
  6. You should stop. You are not making yourself out to be very knowledgeable about hunting calibers. Which obviously your not.
  7. I'm not disputing that. How would he know that the deer would be dead if she used a 44 or 30-30? If the deer was hit in the vitals it would be dead within a 100 yrds. A larger caliber hit badly isn't necessarily going to kill a badly hit deer any faster. That said. Good luck. I really hope you find it. The rain definitely can't help things.
  8. Well, my point is how do you know if the deer would be dead if she had a 44 or 30-30? You don't. So why would you post that?
  9. CL, marketplace, want ad digest, Auto trader.
  10. That's his late father's rem 700. It did have a little damage from the fire, but a friend fixed it up as best as he could. I don't think he'll ever use any other rifle.
  11. Kayden hunted hard. Got his first deer with the bow early in the season, but has struggled to connect with the rifle. He picked the right stand this afternoon.
  12. Not that I know of, but he definitely won if we're going by points, lol.
  13. You are correct. Sorry RTCII, no he didn't get to keep my rifle. Lol
  14. Well that little spike is playing games with thyme. He came back out into the field, but ran back to fast. Hopefully he gives him one last chance. And my nephew Kayden just texted me saying he dropped a nice one. Waiting for pics.
  15. It's great. Easy to walk in compared to several inches.. I've got a $6600 plow in my shop, and I'm hopeful I never have to hook the thing up, lol.
  16. Well, his rifle has to be off. He missed several times at 70 yrds at a 6" spike. So, I hopped off of stand, ran, ok shuffled, to my truck, drove the mile or so to where he was, shuffled a lot slower to him, grabbed his rifle and handed him mine. Back in the truck with no viable weapon to get back on stand with, lol. He still has 2 solid hrs. Hopefully a deaf doe will pop out of the woods.
  17. Waiting for new member Thyme. He's driving up to northern Columbia county to meet me at the farm. Hopefully I can put him on a deer or two. I've got a difficult to get 4U DMP to sign over to him, so hopefully he'll get his first deer today. Been sending him pics of 6-8 does every afternoon in the food plot. Hopefully the wind will be good to hunt that stand. Success pics hopefully to follow.
  18. This^^^^^ Block out your name and address. He'll be able to see the lien area is clear.
  19. You and I can learn together. The few times I tried, I failed miserably.
  20. Never learned to fly fish. I purchased all the stuff to start 35 yrs ago, but never learned. Maybe when I retire I'll find someone that can get me started.
