  1. Lol. I definitely have the hair style to pull it off.
  2. I would love to get involved in the honor flights. Would be the best way to honor my dad who served in WWII, and those that served with him.
  3. Hey, is my nephews deer the first one to be mounted in the new digs?
  4. Yep....different alright.... nothing there.
  5. Lol. I think the facts prove the vaccine is ineffective. Fact... get the vaccine, and booster and you can still get covid and spread it to others. That is a ineffective vaccine. Fact.. it is not proven that getting the vax will lessen symptoms. Just because some guy on TV says it does, isn't proof. Lots of vaccines in our history that truly worked. These covid vaccines are a failure.
  6. I agree on the crockpot taste. Maybe braise it instead?
  7. Place looks good. Looking forward to seeing what you do to the shop.
  8. 5" in northern Columbia county. Raining now. Not going to plow any of my clients until the rain ends. I'll let the snow soak up the rain.
  9. Thats just it, We haven't developed an effective vaccine.
  10. Don't see you asking the mods to move another thread you so often post in. That one had become political as well.
  11. This^^^ Are you using a ventless propane heater? They put a lot of moisture in the air, and a compromised or lesser quality window in this weather will frost over.
  12. I have my father's rifle that he bought home from WWII, and had built in 1942 by Bennett gun works. Double trigger with the rear trigger being a set trigger. Has some nice engraving too. I believe its a Mauser action. It's not in pristine condition as dad used that rifle a lot. I've taken a few deer with it over the yrs. Back in the '80's, my brother took it in to Bennett's. They were glad to see it, and IIRC, one of the owners grandfather was the one who built the rifle. I think they are closed now, but not sure.
  13. Bullet is still loaded through the muzzle. The primer and powder are in a cartridge that is loaded through the breach. Not sure if it's NYS legal, but know of a few that use and like them a lot.
  14. Absolutely loved this holiday season. 5 guys and 10 doe taken. Everyone seen several shed bucks, and several that still had their headgear. All were passed up. Buddy from Maine filled his two bow/ML tags and a DMP that was signed over to him. Myself and two others downed two doe each, and another buddy took 1 doe. Had a bunch of fun and filled the freezers. All of us could have filled our tags long before this holiday season, but we were being selective. Lots of deer in my area, and we hardly put a dent in the heard. Friday I had 15+ deer in the field I was hunting. Hopefully Columbia county will opt in again next yr. Despite what a some on here described those hunting this season as bad hunters, because we needed the extra week to see and kill deer, well I guess I'm a bad hunter then.
  15. I agree. It's the only reason I decided to trade so soon. The amount of equity I have in the new truck because of the high trade in value made it a no brainer. Plus my payments dropped $60 a month.
  16. Good luck finding a new HD truck of any manufacturer on the lot. The only way to get a new one is to order one. It's a 4+ month wait. I recently traded my POS 2019 F350 in on a 2500 Chevy. My 350 stickered for $45,700. The dealer has it listed for $49,900, and it sold in a week. I PD $42,500 and dealer gave me $41,500. Oh ya, I ordered my Chevy on May 18th. Picked it up November 24th.
  17. Yrs ago I was putting on a drive, and I see a very nice buck heading to my buddy. Few min later, I hear him shoot. Unfortunately, he had a hangfire and missed. He was using a cap and ball Hawkins style ML. Next season he had a inline. I personally haven't had a misfire, and hopefully I never will. I'll continue to "waste" a couple primers after cleaning or at the beginning of the season. Cheap insurance.
  18. Oh but it is the same thing. Waste a 209 primer? Really? If your that cheap, why check zero?
  19. With that logic, why waste a shot to see if your still sighted in?
  20. Yep. Done that several times over the yrs. Even had some go through the wash first then the dryer. Believe it or not, they still worked.
  21. Quick Google search shows a width of 17.75. So yes legal to hunt with in NY.
  22. I believe it definitely does. I've been told by a couple doctors and several nurses we know that overuse of hand sanitizer and anti bacterial soaps isn't good for you. They dry out essential oils that protect the skin. My wife uses the stuff constantly. She wakes up in the middle of the night and I hear the top pop on the bottle of sanitizer. I ask her who in her dreams she came in contact with to need hand sanitizer, lol. Her hands all all dried out and has to use lotion frequently. I haven't touched the stuff. Just wash my hands like I normally would before this crap started with plain old soap and water, and no dry skin issues.
