  1. That PA fish chest girth chart always hits the mark
  2. When they are biting like that i always want to stop and cast for them cause it's fun but then if limited out, usually just go in. Its too hard to release them. Lol
  3. Another good morn , limit by 8:15. Nothing huge but quality 16-18" eyes and a few perch. Hit one spot had perch hitting all three rods and prob could've pounded them there for a bit but got the last eye right after that and called it a day before it gets hot. Weird to get walleye in Aug but they are def hitting. Lake never greened up this year and not a lot of weeds so thats prob it. Whatever it is I am all for it. 27-31 FOW. All on the same color spinner and yesterday was the same but all on a different color spinner. Home, fish cleaned and breakfast done by 10:00 is all good. And Charlie agrees.
  4. Looks like a great morn. Some real nice bass.
  5. Thanks. Yup same thing. Just a bit deeper.
  6. I'm not hitting it as good as Chris but looking for one more.
  7. Thought this was kinda cool. Watched a show on the making of the movie today also. One of my favorite all time movies. It came out the year I graduated from high school and about 6 months after my Dad passed away. This is on Thursday night I will def check it out. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.yahoo.com/amphtml/entertainment/field-dreams-game-ready-mlb-165211409.html
  8. Last year it seemed like everything was hugging the bottom. Course last year you couldn't miss. Ive been running two lines low and one high and that high one has produced all year the best. So I was switching that up and running one just above bottom, one 5ft and one 10ft off. Today that on the bottom rod was busy all morn. Just never know. Today I was alone and didnt run any planers. I need the rod per person limit upped to 4. Lol
  9. Nice! That spot off from Godfrey is def good. I used to get a few in the weedbeds too in 14' in the bay to the west of it. Today I was fishing between 107 and 109 bit closer to Lewis pt. 27-31 fow. Using worm harnesses at 1.2 mph. They were right on the bottom. Most of this season the best bite has been suspended it seems like. I got a 23" earlier in the year and someone I took out fishing got a 24" , which is the biggest so far this season.
  10. There no other way to say it. That machine is bad ass. It's gonna look awesome with some cans dragging behind it after the wedding!
  11. I might be out too. I switched my peep sight from a three string to a two string. The view is so damn much better. But I sent an arrow out into the back of Corey's lawn when I shot at 20yards after that. Went out last two nights and I am low and left and need to do some tweaking. Was hoping to get it zoned in by next weekend. But dunno if I will be able to or not. Will see. I shot my bow the other day and it was dead on with the old sight, but I just had it with that string in the way. Glad I did it but I need to get it sighted back in now. Was gonna try to get it done by wed and let you guys know. But I see Swamps post
  12. Great bucks and mounts look great. Tough prob to have too many mounts on the wall. I guess it's your cross to bear when your "Two buck Larry".
  13. Haven't been out on the lake in a couple weeks. Looks like they saved me a few. Usually Aug walleye is a mystery for me. But limit by 9am. Had first two in about 40 min then had to work for the last one. Biggest was a nice 22.5". Real good for Oneida . My second best all year. We were gonna do some more planting but Corey had to work. So I hit the lake. Good morning out.
  14. There it is. Took me a while. Good day out on the water. In by 9.
  15. Venison steak and greens wrap. Greens Utica style. Pasta salad. Go to beer. Lots of garden ingredients Tonite. Cherry tomatoes, green onions, diced zucchini in salad. Green onions and Swiss chard in the greens.
  16. Looks that they like that branch for a licking branch. Nice bucks
  17. isnt Texas, Florida and Louisiana our hottests states? So wouldnt there be some correlation to rising numbers due to more time inside in the AC due to the heat ? Just like in the Norhtern states having a surge in the winter ? just a thought. That being said - go get vaccinated! lol
  18. The Austin Bills vs the Kansas City football team. Just doesnt sound worth watching. I wonder which one will happen first....
  19. Sorry to hear it fell thru Biz. Wow that was a big error on their evaluation for sure. If you can get those NYC visits down to 3-4 month then start looking in WNY! Businessmans flight out of Buffalo can't be more than $300 to NYC. Better deer hunting, more house for your $ and in WNY they dont work most Tuesdays it seems. To cover the expenses and fit in you could shoot a doe to stock the freezer.
  20. sorry to hear and thoughts and prayers sent. Hoping to see good news that she has recovered soon.
  21. I am willing to trade a 7F doe tag for any Maine moose permit or PA elk permit. I would be willing to trade two 7F doe tags for any Maine moose unit north of 19. PM me if interested.
  22. ive lost my best hunting spot but i am very determined to hunt the other spot i have. Ive shot 5 bucks off of it in the 7 years we have had it, but no deer in the last two years (although the guy i hunt with has taken a couple). Never have taken any big bucks there but have seen a few. Looking forward to seeing how my foray into food plots goes. And also a new stand/groundblind we are putting up. #1 Goal is to always get one deer in the freezer, hopefully an early doe and then can work on taking a decent buck. I try to stick to 5 points or better, but losing my best spot might change those plans. If I dont get an early doe my goal is always a deer for the freezer one way or the other and any deer might be in play. And i want to get the buck on the land i hunt and have worked on and setup, thats the best part of hunting for me is the chess game. Also going to take a day for gun in Northern tier and do a day of still hunting in the Adirondacks. I sure enjoyed that last year. And was lucky enough to get to within 50 yards of a Dacks buck but passed on him as he was a 3 point. But still an accomplishment.
