  2. Welcome in and best of luck. Let us know how you do.
  3. Out door channel has major league fishing on skeanateles for bass tourney. Kinda cool - first 4 anglers to 23 lb move on.
  4. I marinaded it for a couple days but didn't cook it any first. Just took it out. About 2.0 hours at 225. Usually when the bacon is done so is the roast. Used meat thermometer to be sure and it was 160.
  5. Just got back from working on lease. Venison roast in the smoker.
  6. Pulling cards this weekend and I would be over the moon for just one bear pic. Have never gotten one. Cool pics.
  7. A 6'6" is a great general size. I prefer a fast tip and one piece for most of my rods. Not a fan of the action of the ugly sticks at all. But shimano makes some good rods at a decent price. I have a couple of St Croix. I like them esp for light action like 6lb. But if using it for bass in the weeds and throwing spinner baits or frogs I def prefer the fast tip. And if using soft plastics for good feel go with a one piece.
  8. Happy Birthday Buddy! Hope its a day off and well spent!
  9. went by the lease on the way into work and across the road and down a bit a HUGE buck out in a field. Could tell at 400+ yards it was a big one. Going to lease tomorrow to wrap up stuff for season and pull cam cards. Hoping hes on one of our cams.
  10. Those havalons remind me of razors. They just look so sharp. Honestly they scared me away a little. But I bet they work great.
  11. See a lot of advertising for those. What is the advantage of the interchangeable blades? I always see those and think ...yeah I will cut myself changing those. Lol.
  12. What knife/tool do you use for gutting a deer? Got a new one I'm going to try out this year but interested to see what everyone is using. Hoping to bloody this one up.
  13. Beman 340s at 427 total weight with grim reaper heads and nocturnals.
  14. the story of your tracking hunt last year was the best story of the year. Keep it up and good luck.
  15. in my head all i could hear was the music from the lion king.
  16. Can you shake those jalepeno jars so we can see the chipmunk meat better....
  17. That's why I shoot 7" mechanicals. Just gotta be close.
  18. Me and a buddy were up fishing lake Durant in the Dacks one time, we used to go there all the time. And he hooked 7 of them on a Zara spook. Even had two at once almost fighting over it. Never seen that happen before or since but what an amazing day. Sounds like a killer great day on the water for you guys. It seems like when they turn on they are just ravenous. I've seen a 41" come out of a small lake in Madison county, and a 31" out of Otisco but biggest I've ever gotten was a 30".
  19. Wow that's a beauty. Always like the colors on them. I've never gotten one that size. Nice catch!!!
  20. congrats! Nice bear and good luck to your son.
