  1. That pan is gonna work great for dropping fresh heart steaks into for a field lunch and a cold celebratory beer over a BBD! Looking ready to go
  2. Can't go wrong with muzzy three blade. I've used them in my crossbow and nothing has gone farther than 50 yards.
  3. Used to fish the St Lawrence a lot. I used to launch out of Jacques Cartier state park. Great for smallies, northerns, walleye, perch, musky. I caught some dandy walleye out of there but could only ever catch one a day it seemed. Best catch ive ever seen was up there. A boat came in with an 54 inch musky and a 31 inch walleye. Used to also fish the cape vincent area some. All of it seems good fishing. The perch were usually not huge but a ton of them. I wanted to see if I could catch 100 in day. Had a spot off of cape vincent and I stopped at 123. The two guys in the boat with me caught just as many too. We had seagulls circling the boat. Lol.
  4. I shoot a bear attitude at 29" draw 64#s and I shoot beman 340s with 100 grain broadheads. I would def change out arrows. Muzzy 3 blade are a good one but would be shooting 100 grain.
  5. That's awesome. She will bring you some lady luck too. Great project!
  6. That's awesome Andrew ! Way to go. Your good peoples.
  7. Sounds like a great adventure. Best of luck and have fun!
  8. Hunting clothes are washed and hung out in hunting shed. All my gear too except for bow and xbow. Let's go!
  9. The shack looks great. Those cold days you'll be loving it. Is Jenn gonna go out too? She will def like that better.
  10. They are pretty fun. Have done quite a few. That one is a bit too far for me to travel. I always felt more confident after going thru one before season. I was thinking about going to one next weekend at Cassity Hollow but looks like I am going to visit my brother instead out in Adams.
  11. Nice! Looks like a winner. When's the walkoff vs realtree?
  12. Ron Swanson and I are the same person. Have you ever seen us together ... exactly.
  13. Gonna be testing out that new knee this season.
  14. would have to pro rate it somehow for it to work and my math sucks!
  15. how bout this for regions- 1 - WNY (includes Niagara and Chatt) 2- Fingerlakes 3 - CNY 4 - ENY (includes Catskills, Capitol, Hudson valley and LI) 5- NNY - (includes 1000 islands, Adirondacks)
  16. which is crazy cause you prob see more than i do in a season
  17. i can get 6 does and not use a signed over tag. 2 DMPS, 2 more leftovers after Nov 1st, 2 - Bow/Muzzle tags. Not that anyone has to worry about that happening but it is mathematically possible.
  18. Ive have access to i believe 6 + doe tags this season and i have an itchy finger and an empty freezer. I may shoot them in herds. I agree though we couldnt count does. Tag restrictions would be unfair. I say if we do this, buck points totaled by region with equal amounts of hunters. No more than 2 bucks in season and no outa state bucks will be counted. This is the NY hunting site. That way there is no measuring except for an inch to confirm its a legal point. A lotta guys like to stretch the truth on inches........lol. an 8 from any region is equal and a guy that shoots two fours as well.
  19. 7 pointers your excited about on cam Vs 7 pointers I'm excited about on cam ....lol
  20. Only fair way to do it would be to count buck points (tines). Each legal tine is a point. Total amount of points wins. Some regions cant get doe permits and that is easier than measuring each deer rack. And 150 inch WNY eight points don't count more than 110 inch 8 points the rest of us shoot.
  21. Could also go with Wolc rules. Total overall chest girth.
  22. With the deer I've seen you take you'd be batting cleanup!
