not about the destination but the journey my friend. Enjoy the times when you can still hunt with your daughter. Esp being a senior - she will be off and busy at college next spring. As much as you want her to tag and be successful you both will remember all the times out far more. Take a few days and try again. Sometimes a little break does wonders. I bet most of your disappointment is that you want her to succeed so bad and i bet she just as much wants to in your eyes. You know what that means - you both are good folks and youve sure raised a good kid. Try again after her tests and you prob drop that bird and if not she will have stories to tell about how her Dad took her turkey hunting during a pandemic. Good luck to you both!

For ease of use you can buy the "Off" type of peremithin aerosol spray nowadays. I just spray down before going out in the field each morning. Easy to do and it's always a fresh dose.

Morning out fishing on Oneida with buddy Corey. We each lost a walleye but they were tough to come by. But got a nice bunch of good sized perch. And a day out fishing with a buddy and a beer after like your supposed to!

I think the advancement of bows will be that they are crossbows. More and more states opening up to crossbow. If anything I think use will fade some. IMHO I think that's like saying what advancements will there be in traditional bows. And that's coming from a guy who loves bow hunting.

I was wearing a felt soul set of waders years ago and there was snow. Wow that was a mistake. Snow would build up on them. I haven't wader fished in years. Used to go off shore of Oneida for eyes and Salmon River. And never had a set last longer than 2 years.

After last night's downpours and that I didn't charge the trolling motor battery. Opted for a turkey hunt. Had roost gobbles and some sporadic gobbling til 6:30 from a distance. Had two hens cross the field, but no Tom's to come out and flirt with Hen Anniston.

Breakfast is starting to get louder than the turkeys. C'mon Tom

2 hens out for stroll in the field. Can hear a gobble occasionally a couple fields over.

my dad always carried one of these. Usually a worm container inside. When i go to the great beyond - wherever that is - I want to find myself walking along a trout stream and see my Dad sitting on a rock with a basket with tails sticking out of it like I always did. I would come back from my end of the stream and whether he went a mile or 100 yards there was always the biggest trout of the day in it and he would be sitting on a big boulder waiting.....
