Good day off. Took a couple hours but limit of eyes. Some better sized fish too. Same spot 26 fow by 107. Culled one smaller one and lost a couple.

I actually agree with both of you. Still the best country bar none. But I used to get wrapped up in politics some and I decided I am much happier if I just don't GAF. Lol. We are an amazing country hopefully we get past all this craziness soon. Just seems it's a mess right now for many reasons and one of them might very well be I am becoming a doddering old fart.

ive gotten so" i dont reconize the country" has been my exact statement. I get so I just want to retire and fish and hunt and tune it all out. Cause it seems society is taking a turn that i dont understand nor want to. Maybe my way just stands in the way of progress and where the world wants to go but i just cant go with it. None of it makes sense. There are like minded people around for sure but everyday seems to go the other way. Ive gotten so I dont vote - and anyone can tear me apart for it - knock yourself out and waste your breath. But ive voted for years and watched this state elect the same people i voted against in a landslide. And the options to vote against them for candidates arent much better and most of them are lame ducks getting a payday. With both leads of the dem and rep parties being sent to jail for corruption in NY why would i bother- so i dont. I feel like my vote for the lesser of two evils is a pill i can no longer swallow. Peaceful protests against police brutality over the weekend in Syracuse, 11 people shot in those same three days in Syracuse. One of them in front of the Martin Luther King school. The founding fathers, the greatest generation, MLK and many of the other people that built a great country must be proud of it now. But people and cultures change - i guess thats why older people understand less and less any younger generation. But there seems to be so much hate and anger than i have ever seen. I dont even mean just the protests and riots, just in general people going after each other on social media and needing something to be outraged about. I think i will go fishing tomorrow, hope that doesnt anger anyone. If it does be sure to write it down or protest it cause i wont see any of it..... cause i just got a bite.....

i HATE the new channel markers. They are tiny. Hoping those are just temporary. I struggled one day last week for 2 hours then found em and had a limit in 10 minutes. There ought to be schools starting in the channel soon if not already. It def got a bit rough out there. We havent gotten a lot of big ones but have been doing ok on 15-18" . Have only gotten one or two 20+ so far this year. We did best out front of verona beach near the canal by 107 so we werent too far away, but never know just need to find an active school. 2 Other boats around us had the nets out too. Just happened to try that first after the waves pounded the east end all night.

Overnight the wind was blowing pretty good but was hoping it would stack the bait and therefore the eyes. Wind died down by morning with just a small chop and had the first two eyes in minutes. 3 on first run thru, 3 on next but lost a couple, and boat limit in an hour. Would've been shorter but lost a couple in a row. And buddy Corey had one big tangle after losing a nice eye. He got that undone and we finished off the limit and let some go as well. 24-26 ft of water slow troll worm harnesses. Def a big school of them in there. Went and looked for a few perch in another spot cause we were only getting eyes there. Never really got on them so we went in. Good day fishing.

Good day on the water. Pike were in 24 FOW. Hoping I have figured out the trolling motor issue. Have to say there is a big difference with this boat than the bass boat for being in the waves. Wind started building at 6 am which is never good. And it was pretty rough by 8am. But boat took it well and we fished for a while longer. Never would have with old boat. Hoping to get out again in the morn. Lake is rollllllling right now but it's supposed to calm down overnight.

Not a bad morn in the water. Was a bit rough. Thinking I might have figured out the trolling motor. That it was a battery issue. It worked fine today. Though only used it an hour as we were drifting plenty fast. It was glass to start. Wind picked up at 6 am is never a good sign . Got off the lake before 10. Got blown off walleye spot and tucked in out of the major waves for a few Perch.

Rock bass are pretty good. Seems like earlier in the year are better. They are more like a cross between a panfish and bass in flavor I always thought

I'm not Pygmy but I've cleaned and fried a few fish in my life. They would be excellent. Just scaling is a pita when they are so easy to fillet. My buddy's Dad always made us scale all the fish. I used to release some just so I didn't have to . But they would be great. Panfish are about the best eating and mild fish there is. Fry em up and post some pics! Good luck

irony --- listening to radio today while driving and driving and driving.....any way - the local news update comes on at the top of the hour - 1st news story --" several streets are shut down in Syracuse today until further notice for peaceful protests which start at 1pm on Sat. Please be aware of these road closures and delays when coming thru Syracuse downtown. " 2nd news story -- "7 people were shot last night in Syracuse one was in front of Martin Luther King School in Downtown Syracuse. Police responded to several shooting calls throughout the night including one person shot in the head" WTF - somehow this doesnt all add up.....at least in my world.

Took the day off. Got a limit of eyes but had to look around for biters. Know I had them on the graph in some spots but they were tight lipped. Hit a spot @18-19 ft and in 10 minutes landed 3 and lost 2. Trolling motor is acting up and gonna have to take it in for repairs. Keeps cutting off when in ipilot and then also won't steer at times. Dunno what is going on but it made it hard to fish on a flat lake like I wanted to . But managed to get some . Good to be off work and Charlie got a haircut.

Thanks. Yeah I really needed that motor and it wouldn't work so very frustrating. Hope it is something simple or they just give me a new one.
