On the road today thru Madison and Cortland counties. Quite a few birds in the fields.

they havent said that yet. Just doing phases along the business end of things. I guess they still want everyone to social distance yet. With masks and 6+feet apart. Phase one is some business and manufacturing reopen with masks and distancing or curbside service.

2nd half of day on the lake. Got a few. It was a little tough. Glass out there , but a great day and Charlies first trip in the new boat. I think he approves. Good day.

Wow awesome buck and killer mount. For the first week that was home I could cancel my cable and just stare at that.

Half time breakfast between turkey hunting and fishing. Fried potatoes and sausage with eggs over. Bionic potato topping of course. Also not pictured... Frank's hot sauce.

Great morning hunt just didn't seal the deal. Had 8 deer cross field right at twilight, wanted to take a pic bad but had roost gobbles at 300 y. Beautiful scene backlight on the ridge. So I setup closer to where theyve been coming out. Roost gobbles. Then about 6 a hen come out at about 70 yards and she yelps just like you would work a call. Usually when I hear them it actually sounds nothing like that. And the gobbler in the woods behind her answers. Game on. She walks out into field and I see movement behind her. Gotta be the Tom. Nope it's a deer . She walks all the way across the field and the deer follows her. No Tom. So I hit the box call to see where he went. He cuts me off and is in brush at about 60. So gun up safety off. I see movement and here he comes. He comes out into field all fanned and headed to my hen decoy. Gets in an open spot and I got this.... Bang .....and he just looks.... I am stunned dunno what happened. Rack another and he starts to run , I take a quick shot and he flies into woods. WTH. No explanation or excuse on the miss. Did find one feather. Played out perfectly the way I planned it except for the shot. Prob won't go again til memorial weekend. But it was a great hunt. Went and setup on another field but nothing. Breakfast and fishing time

Botched that. . swing and a miss at 32. Dunno. Read the script perfect.

They will be sent every day til we hear that she is doing better. And then happy thoughts after that of better days to come. Stay strong.

When I went to Florida I had a grouper sandwich 4 days in a row. I was considered a regular at that restaurant for a week. Good stuff.

Avoid crowds=go fishing Wash hands = get the fish slime off Be careful around the elderly=make sure none of the old guys fall out of the boat. I got this.

I've been thinking the same. This weekend fishing with my buddy and next weekend GF over for dinner and a drink. Gotta go back to life at some point.

Looking forward to tomorrow. Got the day off and going turkey hunting in the morn and fishing after. Perfect wind for fishing with a SE on this end of the lake. It's been a white wave mess out there for days. Let's go!

like i was saying - FISHING!!!!! lol. Walleye bite is on. Rather fish than turkey hunt esp the later the month goes. Dont have to get up at 3:15, drive 35 minutes to spot etc. Not a big turkey guy - usually 5-7 hunts is good for me.

That sucks. I have tomorrow off and that might be my last try. Getting too nice out not to fish. And the 3:15 ams are tough to keep doing.

ive seen them in trees at 11am. Went into the edge of a field and there was a coyote. which prob forced them back into the trees. And they stayed right there til quitting time

so sorry to hear this. I wouldnt know what to do without my sidekick. Sorry for your loss. Sounds like Dunkin was an awesome dog.

I always make my own every year. Venison- Apple breakfast, sage breakfast, jalepeno and cracked pepper brats etc... What's in the farmers sausage....looks good.
