He obviously is unaware of the meat shortage, but he saw me walk over there and knows a fat guy lives here....

So I've had a rabbit on my front lawn all day. And it hasn't moved an inch from 6am and was there when I stopped at 11 and there when I got home. So I walked over to see if it was hurt or something. And it ran like 15 yards just fine and stopped. I look back out side and it is again in the exact same little spot it's been all day. I didn't see any hole or anything different in the lawn when it ran. Any explanation out there......

i actually preferred fly fishing for bass more than trout. Most of the streams for trout i always fished were so brushy that fly fishing was just too tough. But Smallies on a flyrod is a damn fine time.

Here's what I imagine you telling her. "You were born in the year of the great pandemic and there was even a meat shortage. It got so bad that your Dad had to shoot does! It was scary times"....

your going to have some stories for her when she gets older for sure. On how she was born during a pandemic and all that happened.

That's for sure . Early June they are usually on the bite hard too. Hope it works out.

Thanks. It was def a needed day. I got my limit and just rode around for a little while just cause . Ice was out early so most of them are back in the lake. Last year we still had ice mid April. Looks like sat isnt much of a fishing day so prob be out after gobblers again. Been close a couple of times.

19-23 ft. I was also fishing midday. I've heard people getting them anywhere from 10-27 feet though. They are kinda scattered now after post spawn.

I used worm harnesses. It's what I fish for walleyes the most with. 1/2 once sinker ahead of them and slow troll with the trolling motor. Back trolling should certainly work with those as well. Hope u get some.

Up here you can only buy one package of beef , one package of pork.....choose wisely. It's crazy stuff.

Second half of day on the water. Limit of eyes, also a couple panfish. Got three shorts as well and two other hits. Good and needed day on the water. And first fish in the new boat is a keeper eye.

Had action today. Turks roost gobbling at 3-400 yards. Hen comes out wanders. Then Tom comes out. I Yelp lightly and he sees dekes and leaves hen . Comes this way and right in shooting lane with sights on him...but 70 yards. He didn't come up treeline went out to far in field. He gobbles and fans and goes back to the hen. Comes back out on field at 100 and struts but can't bring them my way. Think I should've just put a hen deke out and not the Jake. Also seen a yote and 5 deer. Crazy thing had three deer come out and a hen with them. They were so close she had to move not to get stepped on. They came out into field as a group. Deer looked at decoys and went back in woods. Hen hung out in field for 20 minutes, but no Tom's or gobbles so headed out. Next set gonna try closer to where they keep coming out and use just a hen as a set. This weekend.

How hard is it really?. Its better than no one doing it. And let the owner still make money. Hell even pay the workers. But if they are sick and can't be there let the guards help out. With lots of PPE.

Seems like the national guard could be brought in to run a processing plant. Do what's needed to feed people . And help out the company to keep afloat as well.
