  1. Actually, Moog said last two days of archery season and Biz said 41st sit. Well I just happen to now have the afternoon off for my 41st sit and then still have the last two days of archery off to hunt as well. This could work out!!!
  2. Brown! and i just texted my buddy i am hunting with to be sure he covers any deer he drags by me, cause i might drop a couple in it just to be sure!
  3. i prob wouldve ate the damn thing there where it dropped at that point! Thats impresssive . Its like walking all the way around Oneida lake and dragging a Moog Atlas stone behind you for half of it.
  4. Im going in confident as ever tomorrow for sure!!!!! Thanks Moog!!!
  5. lol. Wow I was gonna say anything over 100 pounds but I am going with this! thanks Fletch!
  6. not willing to throw in the towel on bow yet but i am looking forward to sat as well. I moved my favorite gun stand 40 yards in the off season to better line up where the deer usually come out. Have killed a few from this stand, buddy got one from there last year. It hasnt been hunted all of bow season cause 20-30 yards is just too brushy. But once your past that its overlooking the edge of a swamp and back side of a pond. Plan on sitting there Sat with the 06 and have at em.
  7. Got Thursday and Fri off for a hail mary on the bow season! Maybe out this afternoon for a short sit- still unsure. But thurs the wind is gonna be perfect for two of my best stands and planning on am in one pm in another. This would be the first in many seasons i havent filled an archery tag at all.......
  8. thats too funny - i was gonna do a post that said "Jeremy - show the real Kitty/cougar he bagged" lol
  9. I was gonna say that exact thing. Best read about a hunt I can remember. Wow. Great story and great ending. @Buckmaster7600that is an amazing day . You are one hardcore tracker! Congrats and thanks for sharing. Get a well deserved good night of rest.
  10. Thought of another one.....homemade Mac and cheese with little smokies in it and cooked in the smoker for an hour. Good stuff.
  11. Damn you. Now I have to get some Nog! Lol.
  12. It's actual imitation crab meat. Had some in freezer and cooked it up in some butter in a fry pan and added to Mac and cheese. Just a last minute dinner idea for something different. Wasn't as good as a lobsta Mac but it was good . It's also good mixed with a little butter and stuffing then rolled into a walleye fillet and baked.
  13. I like one piece clothing. A union suit underwear and a set of coveralls. Dry feet and some toe warmers. Muff for hands with a body warmer or two in there and a fleece baclava.
  14. Chicken and biscuits. Easy to do ahead and warm in Crock-Pot. Can even do the biscuits ahead. and people dont make it often for themselves. It was always a big hit at camp.
  15. Made a big goulash for a few days! Good winter meal.
  16. Follow the most likely and easiest trail for a while from where you last saw blood to start. Then I would grid search the area a bit after she prob isnt far. Look for crows too
  17. Happy Birthday G-Man hope its a great day! @G-Man
  18. Great pic for sure . That's awesome.
  19. Congrats on the buck and to me butchering was always part of the hunt . You'll get better and better at it. And knowing you did it all is great when it hits the table
