You can lead a horse to water, but ya can't mak'em drink. Plain and simple.

Yeah, the deer, bunnies, and other wildlife come in my feed lot at night and clean up the left over hay. Even the birds pick up the dried leaves.
-
People; all sit in trees asked is if their was anything he could feed his starving deer.
-
Hay keeps really well in the frozen air, LOL.

Nothing wrong with feeding a few wild bunnies.

Are you located in some of that Amherst ( Getzville) clay, for when you drain the subsoil out, things start to shift and crack. Oh, for how I remember that free for all back a few.

Take a good look at body mass. Seen some skinny deer past years with ribs showing, surviving. I start to worry at the point. when I start viewing ribs through their hide. March is a tough time historically speaking here. Deer will pull down very low to the bone, before they starve. If you're finding dead deer, that the ribs aren't showing on, then that deer died of other causes. I like the idea of an offset feeding program, if it wasn't illegal in NY.. Then I read articles where actual damage can be done to the herd if sideline feeding methods are used. Kind of turns the need to feed off. Pros and cons to every situation, I guess. A lot of the midwest states offset corn to the deers diet still to date. Corn is carbs, that's what they need right now, the most. Grass hay is also rich in carbs. Heck they don't even worry much about CWD. Humm, maybe NY. pushes issues with wildlife to far to the extreme. Live Deer Cam _ Crush with Lee & Tiffany.htm

Like that Canarywood Glass turkey call. Beautiful work! -
Not sure what happen to T & THM, but they sure had some get articles and knowledge of wisdom. I haven't found anything to take the complete place of it yet, and in this day and age, I doubt very much if u will.

Sweet gift, for any occasion, LOL. Be sure to post how u like it. Maybe u'll get a chance to use it legally in NY this season, if u so choose.

Read an article on good noises and bad troubling noises to worry about, from a structure. Wonder if your is good or bad?

The fact is that their are few if any wild swarms, will survive more than a year anymore. Without treatment for bee diseases, the swarm will die. The scent will lure new swarms, 99.9% from split offs of hived swarms. The dark, stained comb indicated an older comb that has been used for several years. The lighter comb is, most likely last seasons installment. One other thing to note, if that white brood has any dark or milkyness to it when thawed, I wouldn't eat any of the honey, as that is a classic sign of American Foulbrood. Injesting the raw honey could have serious impact on human health. A small amount, can give you a severe case of diarrhea. I'm sure you know by now.

Seen 4 hens and Tom Thumb today. He's the size of a hen, but has a huge strut span. -
Just be careful not to eat some of the larvae, that is left in that comb, unless you like a little protein in your honey, LOL. Nice aster honey, you have there! Make some bees wax candles.

It's so cold, my mail broke when I tried to pry open the envelope. Tim Horton's are serving hot coffee on a stick. Didn't clean the house, just defrosted it. My grandson and I couldn't go outside, so we played bat and ball in the house. We invented "Vaseball." Now, we're in the dugout! A little humor to warm your day,

Keep up the shed hunting grow, when you least expect it, bam. Once you have that first one to break the ice, some magical spell seems to cast. Kinda like buck fever. Can't wait for the snow to drop, so the search can continue. That needle in the haystack can be found, LOL.

What a real pleasure to meet one of the best married hunting teams on tv.. I remember these two from way back on Bill Jordens Monster Bucks series. Must have been a been a great dinner. I'd give my left arm to meet them , if I didn't need it for bow hunting, LOL. Thanks for posting.
