  1. Hopefully, they will talk turkey for you tomorrow. Thought I had pitched the blind on top of Niagara Falls this morning. I actually had to abandon ship, LOL. Creek was raising rapidly.
  2. I just wonder how long one of these would last before a law enforcer would pull you over?
  3. Their is no way I could have ever closed my eyes. Congrats on a supper harvest!
  4. That's a gallon in my book, LOL. Nice job on the mounts!
  5. +1 for the soybeans, thee buckwheat, and the 9N.
  6. Wet and wild out there this morning. Didn't know I pitched my blind over Niagara Falls, LOL.
  7. Yeah, Do they have one for our state governor ?
  8. Now when do you know the weather people to ever guess right, LOL. Birds were all laying around poolside anyway. Jakes drinking sodas, Toms drinking martinis.
  9. Was a wet day yesterday to say the least. Went in blind mode, safer area after the first strike at 5:20. H ad a nice pair, which turned into a full house. Nice tom 20 feet from the blind, finger on the trigger, safety on. I watched in dismay as he walked away into the brush line, You see, this one got his beard shaved, right down to the pelleted breast meat. Needless to say, I chewed my mouth call in half. Watched the rain fall and sanded my wood. Regrouped this am., back to seeing hens.
  10. The first real sign of Spring. Thanks for posting that!
  11. Radar showed a line of showers and thunder storms at 3:30 am.. Figured I walk the mile, beat the storms and fall back on the blind if need be. Sitting in the area of mature red oak, I got in, reached for my bag full of tricks, to no avail. These turkeys here, refuse to gobble. The rain-lightning got pretty intense, so I moved my butt away from the lightning rods to the tent blind. Did manage to call in a hen with a tom, not far behind about 7ish in the pouring rain, passing not 20 feet from the blind. Low and behold, that tom was beardless. Believe by the looks, someone had shot the beard off. Had my eyes on this one for a long time, and would'ent you know it.
  12. Now why does this not surprise me, LOL. I was flapping my arms and gobbling myself this morning, LOL. Hey, I say, whatever it takes man!
  13. Another quiet morning in the turkey world. This is getting to be all to common here. Did fool a fox.
  14. But their not ashamed at all. They get to cozy in office and loose site of why they were voted in office, public representation. This is why to abolish career politicians. Two terms in office, and " Bye Bye!"
  15. Some good fishing right there. Looks like you were having the most enjoyable time. Thanks for posting.
  16. Grow, can we see a live pic of that big boy? TY.
  17. Another couple of nice finds with no chew. It's nice to know those boys are still at large. Good luck at finding more. I find myself scanning the country side for sheds while in the turkey mode. Sheds cooperate far better than the turkeys have here , so far. At least once on the ground, they don't move, LOL.
  18. I agree. That would make an outstanding mount. Beautiful color. He's got some nice long hooks too. Nice call. Be proud calling in that bird. Congrats!
  19. Did you get any video this year?
  20. Tell that to the hawk, I seen being dive bombed by crows, this morning.
  21. I like that idea wooly. You always seem to be using the old noodle, LOL.
