  1. Congrats! You need a pic of this year NYS. turkey tag on the bird.
  2. Congrats! You need some readable pics of the contest card, tag, and beard measurement.
  3. Thanks wooly. I should of started a journal.
  4. Season was short and sweet, maybe half of last years. More trees next year and upgrading my equipment. Good quality syrup though.
  5. Have only seen one male turkey, beardless. That was in the fall season. Question, If the beard were to get pulled off or shot off, will it grow back next season?
  6. Congrats on your first bird Papist! Have seen two hens nesting. No audible or sightings of males here yet.
  7. Nice bird, gun,and picture. Congrats!
  8. Got to thinking what I said above. Went back in and took some more pics. Not sure if he shed them, or if they were chewed off. No antlers of any kind were found in the area.
  9. Had a nice few hours of shed hunting, between the raindrops today. Seen a huge white patch ahead. Their laid the first dead buck in all my many miles of hunting. Every critter must have chewed on him. His antlers were chewed right off and gone.
  10. Shed hunting today and saw one nice gobbler. We're pumping premium now, LOL. Needed the waders to get through the ditches. One hell of an opener tomorrow, with areas flooded. Turkeys don't seem to mind.
  11. Deer look in good shape coming out of the winter.
  12. Found shed number 10 today, yahoooo! Made double digits finally. The water drained out of this area somewhat, so I decided to go in with knee boots. Didnt dare take a camera. Saw tines poking out, there it was. Soon as I grabbed it, I knew what buck it came from. Right side. His 2nd and 3rd set of sheds in the pics.
  13. The bird sounds like he's wise. Previous season's hunter education, I bet.
  14. That was a nice shot. A few members on here, wouldn't agree that shot should have been taken. Oh wait a minute, it wasn't a deer.
  15. Been eating leeks for a month now. Wild onion longer than that, LOL.
  16. count me number 9. About 4.3 miles into my journey, she was pointing towards the sky. Sticking out in plain sight. Another left side. I wonder what happens to the rights?
  17. One of the best bear mounts I've seen in recent history. Congrats. That Ford tractor, on the shelf isn't to shabby either, LOL.
