  5. Not seeing the turkey here, yet. They usually come August, picking the hay fields for grasshoppers. This years hatch ought to be getting fair size by now.
  6. Have never seen the amount of water in the Woodlands, South Lockport area, that is there this morning. from Mud Creek Several reports of flooding, trees down, and power outages from Lockport west. Many, many flooded basement calls. Witnessed the event from the Genesee County fair last evening, The cloud formations and lighting strikes were stunning. Crowd attendance was very low, but we enjoyed a dry visit until about 8:20. when the storm hit there.
  7. Back in the 80's, we use to get stuck pulling equipment down the roadways. Not that way today, but always manages to rain buckets, when the show is on. It's a great time with many things to see. Plenty of buildings and tents, on site to get out of the elements.
  8. Now when did this happen. Know body told me!
  9. Fourteen replies to no pic. Know why didn't I think of that?
  10. Congrats on the new baby. I see sleepless nights in your future, LOL.
  11. That's the way I took it. I'll never admit to being confused, however. My son calls it a senior moment, LOL.

  14. Get those Daikon Radish in third week of August. Plenty of time but I like to summer fallow the ground to combat weed problems naturally.
  15. Be careful on that ice water. Dropping the body temp to quickly can lead to serious head gasket problems, LOL.
  16. Yes that does help. I also run my white T shirt , hat and hair under cold tap water before heading out to bale hay. My cloths are soaked anyways when finished. Get the cooling effect of evaporation on he body. They say it's not the heat, it's the humidity. I can a test to that.
  17. LOL. My grandson takes my turkey decoys. and alot of my calls home. He drives his mother nuts with that turkey locator, LOL. He's taking and intrest at a very early age, and I have no plans to curve his intrests.
  18. The "Bugs" have been just terrible this year. Believe it may have something to do with all the moisture. The little B'S land and bite right between the shoulder blades as I regroup in the shade. By the way thunder shower happening as I speak, adding to more. Glad the first field of hay is in the barn. Saw a nice yearling buck feeding on clover regrowth just 15 minutes ago. A reminder of 2 wood stands that still have to be relocated, and awe yes, that cardboard stand,( thank you very much, LOL) that will be built during bow season, the way I'm going this year.
  19. I give you a lot of credit WNY, and admire your motivation. Anything to improve a hunting property is 100% step in the right direction. Already off to a great start.
  20. Very important topic, so should it be pinned. Now should one vote the 25 Republicans out in favor of the Safe Act and vote in MORE Liberal Democrats? Kind of a lose - lose situation isn't it!
