    This might be a tougher find than normal late winter horn loss, because that buck was likely in the breeding stage still. His travel area could be several miles. It looked like he had just lost them not long before you harvested by your pic. Good luck Rob. I will start a shed hunting thread in deer hunting section.

    Quite a power full storm system to produce golf ball size hail in New York. Kinda a rare event of Christmas time. Hope things work out for ya.

    I can only image climbing up a mountain 2100 feet, shooting a nice deer, gutting, and dragging that sucker down to civilization. Do you guys wear oxygen masks up there? LOL. Great condensed story. Congrats on the deer and the 48 seasons of doing.

    Some responses are for the 2 part cup and cone style bearing (Tapered cone style). They needed a set amount of clearance. Ball bearings, ( a rolling element enclosed between 2 races, one that rotates, one that remains still designed for radial force and are cylindrical for thrust loads. In wheel bearing application, they need pressed on the shaft by the inner race, not to shorten the life. In some applications, like transmissions, roller bearings need a set preload . Both bearings types should have a good form of lubrication. When that lubrication breaks down, heats develops and will start the breakdown process of the bearing. Prior to what most tell you, The shields can be carefully removed on a ball bearing, cleaned, and repacked with a good style grease, to this poster still is in search of, Done this many times.

    Just like brakes on a car; if the clutch drum rubs the brake pad, it will heat up. I have owned two 2050 Poulans for 14 years. Came with 16 inch bars which were to big for for the 33 c.c. motors. 14 inch bars and sharp chains made good trimming saws out of them. Oh, and I use to be a Poulan dealer for many years.

    The unpasturized cider of years ago really bothered me, all the bacteria and all. Those little worms in the cider apples can do a number on ya, LOL. Today"s, of what they call "cider," doesn't bother much. They also use higher quality apples; don't use the "drops" like they use to. At yeast the producers I know.

    That's a pretty old truck. Curious what kind of shape it's in. Does it have southern roots? Does it have the 4 0r V6 in it? Any pics? I always like the Ranger. Heard Ford was bringing back into production in 19.

    I can say one thing that I am really proud of though, we had a new deer hunter in the family this season and she harvested her first deer, and a nice one at that; a really mature doe. To me family's where it's at. That in itself, is a high for me and makes me feel good. That made my season.

    You had a really good season Rob and a big congrats on that. I can only comment on mine after it simmers a while in me and the numbness wears off, LOL.

    Arm & Hammer sensitive Skin free and clear with baling soda. Dry outside is my preferred method Then into the ozone closet. Nothing else come close. Air out good before wearing. Be careful and research ozone use heavily before using though.
