  1. Last blizzard warning was issued for Northern Erie County was last year; when then multi car pileup on the 90, near Lancaster happened. Like 60- 70 vehicles.
  2. Some 42 years ago today marks the start of the "Blizzard of 77."
  3. Third batch almost done; forth batch soaking up the sun, LOL
  4. Don't want to alarm anyone really but, this storm could very well meet the standards for a blizzard warning to be in issued.
  5. It was posted on PA. thruway authority site when G- Man posted. That one and the 20+ car one east bound at 12:30 in the same area.
  6. That stretch of roadway: it always seem to be bad weather conditions in the winter..
  7. Good luck on the growing! I been meaning to get some planted but, always turn out to be maple trees, LOL.
  8. Got a great Jim Beam flavor, sweet and tangy with a little kick; 2 1/2 hours in.
  9. Today is the day, like no other day that the venison jerky gets to fill the aroma through the house. I freeze slabs of venison during hunting season, awaiting their thinly sliced journey into the oven when things quiet down some. Cook to bring the internal temperature up to 150 degrees { thank you grow) then they make their ways over to the dehydrator for the final process. I get quite excited doing deer jerky different ways; experimenting I guess you would call it. This year, I was lucky enough to find some Jim Beam sauce at an unheard of price for a buck a bottle. I subbed the usual Soy for the Jim Beam. It marinated for 14 hours or so in the fridge and now I can't express in words the smell I'm experiencing in the cooking.
  10. Nice morning, rabbits moved after the squall went through. Winds making it tougher to track. Rabbit stew on the menu.
  11. Isn't the "cure" just a fancy name for salt?
  12. Looks good and just what I'm looking for. I have about 30 lbs. of whole meat slabs to do, Would you care to share the brine receipt?
  13. We were going to head there last night but, it was snowing to hard in Alabama.
  14. To create a natural vacuum is nothing short of amazing to me. Are you getting more sap, or does it just look like you are because of the smaller tubing? I have a small group of trees that I can create a steeper drop on my lines by placing the start taps higher up the trunk; then joining them all together. It would be 9 or 10 taps joined together with 3/16" line going into a holding tank. I also would like to hold that vacuum till the next run, thus reducing the bacteria build up in hopes to get a longer season. Have the end in the holding tank start dry, then when flow is done, end of the line would be covered with sap, holding some of the vacuum.
  15. Has anyone done any research on a natural vacuum system? Using 5/16" taps that reduce down to 3/16" tubing. I am at a point where I need more taps and tubing. Wondered if it worth trying.
  16. Somethng telling me; I don't want to go there, LOL.
  17. Cuomo cares more about illegal aliens, he wants to give free health care to; than he does about babies getting legally murdered . Ripping them apart limb by limb with forceps. A pure and simple evil man.
  18. Quite a few rules. Takes the fun out of the hunt.
  19. Could you supply a picture of that back pain elimination tool please?
  20. Can't wait to smell that maple steam again. Hope for a great season like last year.
