I check my camera ever 2 or 3 days or cards will be full. And I dont care about my scent..they can pattern me all they want. If they smell me in a few weeks they think I am just checking cards again.. many times I get photos just after I change cards.. deer and bear.. doenst seem to bother them ,but my cameras are on edge of open areas and very accessible, the harder to reach ones I do not check often as that intrusion is very noticeable.. And yes if your buck disappears it's possible a bigger buck has displaced it. I have a split brow 12 pt that was a regular on a camera this summer , a large 10 pt with kicker on g2 showed up and he vacated I got photos of the 12 pt again 3/4 of a mile away again fortunately it's still on my property.

I have an earth way hand held bag, in atv mounted spreader, a 3 pt hitch spreader and a 13 ft international grain drill.. each has it's own application.. -

Yes, they change patterns quick when rubbed out. But if hes around in hard horn you stand a lot better chance. ,almost all bucks by me are pealed except spikes ...though I did just get a photo of a velvet spike trying to mount a doe..

Fresh Cut Logging Road Food Plot?
G-Man replied to Don_C's topic in Land Management, Food Plots and QDM
Winter rye or wheat with 10 10 10 spread at planting asap.. -
Funny how people are worried about bear but think nothing of throwing pork fat, eating pork sausage, and pork in general when It can carry it as well. The meat doesn't all.come from nice USDA monitored pork farms. Just like mad cow or any other disease. Any meat can carry something look at all the dam recalls.. cook it to proper temp and eat..

One buck would not have an impact at all .. there are several hundred thousand hunters with only 60k or so bucks shot so we dont even take 1 buck per hunter now. The only way to make significant impact is to shorten gun season and or split it. ,any state quoted about in this thread has a 7day to 2 week season. Or are split into a 5 day and 7 day.. that reduced pressure let's bucks live. As stated elsewhere in this thread most deer are shot in 1st 3 days .. so why keep hunting for a buck if they lived they will be a year older. And we should shit down season during prime rut..that will let many buck survive for the following year

Its eggs in the meat and you cant see them buy a meat thermometer and eat good viddles

That's solved easy by cooking to 140 degrees . I had nephews bear made into bacon sausage and cuts. The guy that made the bacon said he had to smoke at 140 vs 120 for venison to make sure it was all safe. 40 lbs of bacon later everyone that had it is still here and healthy

I've seen deer eat fish, frogs and popcorn.. I think early spring season boars only baited , and they have best coats early spring
