Can buy premade or make your own angle iron frame and 4x4 sheet of plywood bolted on,if you make it heavy duty can bring out a cord of wood stacked on it, make a box and take all your tools with you and leave bucket open for work.. also works to carry multiple stands and sticks in to hang in one trip.

7mm 08 ,give the possibility of a marginal shot recovery much more likely than .243 or .223. No heavy recoil, and large enough to take a bear if need be. Can take elk, and other large game you would not try with a .243 ( at least if your ethical) a much more versatile weapon. As for the 6.5 creedmore.. I've seen it many time fad rifle calibers that tend to fade over time though it's been around for many years it's the new in. Thing... it may last but as with all things in demand ammo is harder to find especially close to season. Good article 7mm08 vs 6.5 creedmore https://www.americanhunter.org/articles/2018/12/21/head-to-head-65-creedmoor-vs-7mm-08-remington/

Yes I use a monopoly, I even use one in a stand , they are front heavy and in smaller hanging stands I feel like I'm being pulled forward out of the stand. I feel restricted with a crossbow compared to my compound in terms of moving turning.. at least with mono pod I gain stability. I have a primos model that adjust when squeezing the handle below the swivel v..

The first hints of color apppear on the trees Golden rod and ragweed blooming making some sneeze A chill in the morning and heavy dew A cold rain makes everything smell new Red apples hanging on the tree Ouch one just fell and hit me. Birds flock together in anticipation of heading south Squirrels and chipmunks carrying nuts in their mouth. Soft crunching of footsteps in fresh fallen leaves A buck's antlers shaking a tree. A swoosh of an arrow the hiss of the string I sure hope I used the right pin. Crimson puddles on the leaves This is what early fall means to me.

Confidence issues shock collars Rage xtreme 2.3" 2 blade ????
G-Man replied to mikedagun's topic in Bow Hunting
The collars are designed to break from impact not direct pressure. They have deployed overtime I've used them for last 3 years no issues.. I agree applying increasing pressure seems to do nothing to deploy them. ,but the shot of rapid force they crack and deploy.. designed that way so release of string doenst deploy blades . -

I expect to get Turkeyfeathers set in good spot for a shot during archery and then him and his daughter for gun as they have doe tags. I also hope the oldest member of camp gets a good opportunity at a shooter. Expect my.2 nephews to get a good opportunity to fill a tag during youth hunt.. as for myself I'll enjoy the company and stories.. hope someone gets a crack at a bear or two .. if we do then it will be 4 bear in 7 years off property.. that's kind of exciting if it happens.

So I have several cams today that were very hot 2164 photos in a week and my hottest.cams that were 800 or so a week dropped to 400 or so lots of daylight bug buck photos on the 18 19 20 .. 7 to 830 am ,the big bucks I was getting in velvet have now relocated to an apple orchard 2500 ft away and are in hard horn feasting on apples.. fortunately it's all my property.. so just cause your cameras went dead in one spot they have simply moved. In my case heavier cover and prefered food is what they moved too.

I knew it would happen one of these days:(
G-Man replied to First-light's topic in General Chit Chat
Hate seeing injuries in sports as they just come back to haunt you when they get older... wishing the best... -
Because if you do find them you tend to find them all. Many large bucks are shot beginning of season, takes a lot of scouting as they are bulking up on preferred food in preparation for rut.. if you dont know what and where it is as it changes day by day then you are in the october lull ...While rut hunting is simply being there as the love struck buck chase through.. in early.season you cant really make any mistakes as bucks are on alert for rivals as they bulk up, late you could be doing jumping Jack's if the buck is occupied with a doe and its oblivious ...

How did you make out? -
I check several of mine ever 2 or 3 days getting 500 to 1500 pics per cam in that time frame. Imo depends on where the cam is located and how easy it is for access to check, walking down a deer trail or thru brush would be a bad thing
