Had a few birds visit the bow stand, they have been roosting about 50 yards from it,hope they continue to do so till sat sun when season opens.

I find it funny when people call and say I see the neighbors got one of your bucks.. they aren't mine and what we do here has spread to the neighbors as they will pass smaller waiting for larger..we dont have a formal.agreement on size to shoot, but I share my photos with them so they know what is around as well. Imo the " it's my buck" mentality is what has killed hunting. The jealousy is amazing. I love to remind people they are nys bucks.

Neighbors kids both sides of me did well on sunday one buck I've a lot of photos of, the other not a single photo of. Congrats to laney and clifford!! Laneys hunt will be on future episode of crcs outdoors.

Allen is a 2nd year player, he has continued to improve, out o line has been beat up. So hopefully the bye week let's all the starters heal up so they can all play togeher.you have to remember morse was out most of preseason as the play together they will improve ,a team is made by its o line, buffalo addressed that for the 1st time since the early 90s. With a 4 and 1 start their odds are like 72% to make playoffs, we lost to new england missing our best running back and had o line injury, thankfully we have some depth there something they havent had in years.. will be interesting to see how they look coming off the bye. Well we had chance of an early frost fri night sat am, I had 1 plot just oats and another oats and clover, deer were hitting both pretty consistently, I was hoping to get at least thru youth hunt weekend with them but with forecast decided to over seed with winter rye. Got one plot done sat afternoon and one sunday. Didn't get a frost on them though the farmers corn at bottom of hill got hit..not sure if he can chop it to save it or not needed a few weeks as it was so wet this spring he didnt get it in till middle of june. So rain sunday night and this am, should germ wetland forecast looks good for next 2 weeks should really draw them now with new rye coming up thru sweet oats ... hope it pulls in a deer or two for youth hunt..

So youth hunt this coming weekend , my 2 youngest nephews are eligible this year, the older isnt able to hunt sat as hes working his job at local tea shop. So the youngest is up 1st. This kid has no qualms about recoil unlike his brother. So I'll prolly get him set up on my largest field. His brother will be down for sun mon. Hes recoil shy so will be using a 357 lever rifle, shots will have to be short so he will prolly be in bow stand turkeyfeathers took his doe out of. Hope they can both get a deer this weekend, they aren't buck hungry and will take a doe so chances are pretty good. Here's hoping!!!

That's why longer axis to axis bows are a little more forgiving. I attach directly to string which is near impossible with short bows as it will pop arrow of string. The shorter the bow the more a little tweak will effect the arrows flight.

So reading the regs what is pelt sealing and how or where do you get it done? I see the possession tag in the regs.

Had good weekend, 1 buck and 2 doe, red got nice 8, one of the oldest hunter got a doe his first in 7 years with bow, and Turkey feathers got his 1st with bow.. only 5 weeks to go..lol
